There are swimming holes all around, along with great hiking and boating possibilities. There are also quite a few small farms around the area that offer pick your own berries, and/or farm stands. Great roads for bicycling. Not much in the way of public transportation. Some buses run here and there, but mostly car or bike travel will be necessary. Summer in Vermont can be hot and muggy, or cool and rainy, or dry and perfect. The bus does not have temperature control, so be prepared to be connecting with the weather and nature a bit! There are extra blankets if needed, and many of the windows open for air flow. Beware your GPS might lead you astray. If it tells you to go onto Ashworth Road, that is incorrect.
