Self catering, WIFI. Fully modernised & restored. Our Iron Chapel is a locally listed building. It is incredibly rare, we believe there are less than 120 of them left in the country. The chapel has been fully restored from the ground up to form part of our home, which is the large stone stone church next door, which we also converted. We will be able to greet you in most instances, which will allow us to show you around your holiday base and explain what the building is about if you wish. We have fitted out the interior to be as close to its original finish as possible - so you will feel like you are deep within a beautiful 19th Century space, with timber clad walls and heavy timber floors. The doors are all relocated original church and vestry doors, with so much provenance we just couldnt resist fitting them. You will have full use of the chapel's 3 bedrooms, lounge/kitchen/dining room, two toilets, bath and shower. It is essentially a three bedroom apartment linked to our home. We are in a conservation area. There is a nature reserve next door and open fields. We are next to the coast to coast cycle route and you can cycle to Newcastle Quayside from our front door. Alternatively, you could even cycle to the Historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge. You decide - just turn left or right! We have a local bus service 30 seconds walk away, plenty of local taxi firms also. The pubs are a 20 minute walk away along a beautiful River Tyne riverside walk to Wylam. The local valley train service runs from Wylam also, where you can wait in the CAMRA award winning public house 'The Boathouse'. Bedroom 3 is 4ft double bed There is 1 private parking space off street which is just for you - we can arrange another car space, just let us know in advance. We ask that all your furry friends are kept on a leader in the courtyard as we have 3 cats. Please ensure they don't go into the bedrooms & blankets are used if they go onto the sofa's & lastly they are not left unaccompanied in the Chapel :)
