The Hayloft, part of Crabwood Cottages, is a peaceful rural retreat, ideal for couples, with lovely views and wonderful forest walks on your doorstep, yet perfectly located to explore The South of England and nearby cathedral city of Winchester. The Hayloft has been tastefully converted to provide a wonderful open plan space ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all, or overnight business trips. There is a lounge and sleeping area upstairs with an ensuite and a kitchen/sitting area downstairs. In memory of its past life, the snooker/pool table still exists so for those that fancy a go……go for it! A veranda and balcony provide stunning views over rolling fields allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside but still able to enjoy the amenities of the nearby city of Winchester. The beauty of The Hayloft is that you can choose to cook your own dinner that can be supplied by us, nip into the wonderful Cathedral city of Winchester to choose from the many fantastic restaurants, or just go to the highly recommended Plough Pub in the village. A large selection of breakfast delights are supplied for you to prepare and eat at your own leisure. Check in and out can be flexible but generally access will be from 3pm and check out by 12 noon. The Hayloft is situated on a bridleway leading into beautiful woodland for fabulous walks or cycle rides. Further afield, it is an ideal base to explore the South of England enabling easy access to the magnificent cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury with all their award winning pubs and restaurants, local market towns of Stockbridge and Romsey, the New Forest with all it has to offer and even Isle of Wight, London and Bath are accessible as day trips. The Hayloft is approx. 4 miles from Winchester city centre and is situated up an unmade track, where there is ample parking facilities. WARNING - as the photos show, there are low beams on either side of the room upstairs, and if you are tall, the ensuite is compromised!
