Rustic charm in The Dairy

Escape to the Country..... An annexe to a Tudor farmhouse the Dairy became a comfy holiday home in 2013. Grade 2 listed it was restored using traditional methods and modern day conveniences and is a relaxing and unique base to explore the local beaches and countryside Suffolk has to offer. The Dairy has great field walks next door and the local bakery and butcher is just a few minutes walk away. The village also has a library, swimming pool and coffee shop if you don't want to stray too far. Children and dogs are very welcome. Egyptian cotton sheets, fresh towels and wifi provided (it's a pretty good connection - as much as you can guarantee these things - but do check with us first if you want to download films etc). There's a basket of logs for the fire and books and dvds; refreshments too so you can start to relax as soon as you arrive. If you prefer the human touch we are just next door and happy to help and to share what we know about the local area with you. In the middle of rural Suffolk we are: 20 minutes away from Diss, which has direct trains to London (90mins). 15 minutes away from Framlingham. A pretty market town (market on Tuesday and Saturday) with a lovely castle 25 minutes away from the coast: pebble beaches, sandy beaches, nature reserves, bustling seaside towns of Southwold with its pier, cafes and beach huts and Aldeburgh (40 mins drive away) with fresh fish and summer festivals. 25 minutes from Thetford forest. Bressingham steam museum, mid Suffolk light steam railway, the Owl and Camel sanctuary and Easton Farm Park are all in easy reach for family fun. Sadly we have no buses! If you bring bikes we have an outbuilding that you can store them in and there is a reliable taxi service. We have a local store, a butcher and baker in the village a library, gym, swimming pool and tennis courts too - all within 5 minutes walk of the dairy. The village has 3 pubs, with two of them serving food as well. To make the most of your stay we recommend a car but if you are after a short getaway there is lots to do in a short walking distance of the Dairy and taxis at Diss railway station. KitchenFacilities: Dishwasher, Coffeemaker, Microwave, Fridge, Toaster, Double Oven, Hob,Grill. Washing machine and outside sink (for washing dogs or wellies) in next door outbuilding. Entertainment: LCD TV - Freeview with integrated DVD Player, Books, Games and DVDs, retro radio and Ipod dock. Courtyard garden: table and four chairs and a bench too. Highchair, Travel cot and toys available on request. Off street parking for 2 cars.
