A beautiful cottage in the Vale of Belvoir

Our light and airy cottage was completed in 2014 & provides a spotless rural space perfect for a couple, small families or friends to come together for a memorable stay. 5 star amenities provided, you'd think you were in a hotel in the countryside! Come and say hello to our chickens, sample their delicious eggs over a lazy breakfast. Head out for a walk in the bucolic Vale of Belvoir, maybe take in a country pub, then home to cosy up in front of the log burner with some of our home-made cake 🍰 A generous welcome basket awaits you including a home made cake & fresh hen eggs laid by our own hens. Fluffy dressing gowns & well stocked cupboards means you will feel really at home here. The kitchen and open plan living area are light and airy, decorated with a stylish accent wall and with paddock views you never tire of. Two bathrooms, one off each bedroom gives privacy and a choice of claw foot bath; or large walk in rain shower in the travertine-tiled shower room. Smart tv, DVD player, DBS radio, free WiFi, glossy magazines and even a small library to keep you entertained. The second bedroom has the flexibility of having either a super king bed or two twin beds. The cottage is your private space. Own parking for 2-3 cars, and a view you will never tire of. The second bedroom can be made up as two single beds or one huge superking bed! We are on hand next door to help out with any queries, suggest some local walks or days out in the Peak District, National Trust properties or a foodie tour to forage for cheeses and pork pie! Equally we respect our guests privacy and will leave you to enjoy your time and space during your stay. As you wish! Ideal for tourists, foodies, families, skydivers, wedding guests and business stays. The Vale of Belvoir is a closely guarded secret of walks, cycle rides (on and off road), historic houses and pretty rural villages. And we are only 12 miles from the city of Nottingham. Visit the historic market towns of Melton Mowbray, Oakham, Newark and Bingham. Follow the foodie trail of pork pies, Belvoir pressé and of course Stilton cheese. We are just 2 miles from the famous Cropwell Bishop and Colston Bassett creamery! For days out farther afield try the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln, the rugged Peak District or visit a wealth of historic houses including Belvoir Castle (used as Windsor Castle for scenes in The Crown!), Belton House (NT), Sir Isaac Newton’s childhood home in Woolsthorpe, a wonderfully preserved Workhouse in the Minster town of Southwell, and many other attractions. Sporting attractions - we are 1.5 miles from Skydive Langar; 8 miles from the National Water Sport Centre, and also the famous Trent Bridge Cricket ground. There are some splendid golf courses a short drive away (The Nottinghamshire, Ramsdale, Edwalton, Holingwell to name but a few), and for cyclist we are just a couple of villages away from the Viking Way, the Jubilee Way, and national Cycle Route 15. If you fancy a spa day then we have 3 spas nearby! The Little Retreat day spa, ideal for a small group and afternoon tea, The famous Ragdale Hall spa 20 mins away and Eden Hall just 15 minutes drive. Come away and relax! A car is ideal as we are located in a small village. There is a bus service during the day, and a train service from the pretty market town of Bingham just 4 miles away. We are an ideal base for skydivers as you can walk to the airfield in 25-30 mins or drive there in less than 5 mins. You can literally see and hear the parachutes falling. The cottage, grounds and our own private wildflower meadow opposite are popular with wedding couples.
