Cottage with sauna at the lake Buckow

The cottage is situated in the small town Buckow, the pearl in the nature park "Märkische Schweiz", just 50 KM east of Berlin. One of the prettiest places in Germany. The cottage is behind an old pink main building. The property is right at the lake Buckow. Next to the lake is a sauna, exclusively for the guests of the cottage. The lake and the sauna are 100 m away from the cottage on the other side of the garden (the Sauna is not working June, July and August). Perfect for fishing or swimming. The cottage used to be an atelier of a painter, and has been renovated into a holiday cottage. The cottage has a heating. The is a kitchenette with all utensils for cooking. Next to the pier is a new sauna, exclusevly for guests of the cottage. There is one large bed, and if needed, the couch in the living room can be transformed into a second bed. If you consider to stay for more then seven days, I recommend to have a look at "Appartment at the lake Buckow", which includes a washing machine. There are free parking spaces in front of the house. The large garden (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) square feet) is shared with two tenants from the main buiding. There are two piers at the lake which allows privacy for everyone. The Cottage is next to the forrest and the lake, at the edge of the sublime and culturally vibrant village Buckow. Buckow is in the heart of the magnificant natural park "Märkische Schweiz", with huge untouched forrests and hidden lakes in the wilderness. You can spend a week to explore all the different trails. From tha cottage to the village center it takes only five minutes walk. So no need for a car during your stay. In the village you find a bank, a grocery shop, an organic shop, a pharmacy, a bakery, two book shops, a movie theatre and seven restaurants. Buckow used to be the residence of Berthold Brecht. His house is now a museum. It is only three minutes by walk from the Cottage. You can take your kids on a boat ride on the Schermützelsee and there is even a train museum and a bat-museum! Other nearby highlights nearby are the John Heartfield-house in Waldsieversdorf (4 KM), Schloss Neuhardenberg, with plenty of high class cultural events. Buckow can be reached by car or public transport. From Berlin Alexanderplatz it is a one hour drive on the main road "B 1" to Müncheberg. In Müncheberg turn left and then drive 9 KM to Buckow. By regional train "26" it takes 40 minutes from Berlin-Ostkreuz to Müncheberg and another 15 minutes by bus 928 to Buckow-Markt. Or alternatively you can take your bycicle on the train and ride from train station Müncheberg to Buckow (7 KM, appr. 30 minutes). You are staying in a nature park. Depending the wheater, mosquitos may appear on hot summer evenings. And time by time a spider might visit.
