Once the blacksmiths and set in the grounds of Snettisham House, this charming Grade II listed semi-detached cottage has been transformed in to a superb holiday home, offering peaceful and very comfortable accommodation in rural surroundings. Ideal for exploring the Norfolk countryside and coastline. Many of the original features have been retained and it has been furnished in accordance with its character. The cottage is tucked away, outside the village and is perfect for that romantic break or just somewhere to escape! The property has oil central heating and comprises: Ground floor; entrance in to large lounge and dining area with a feature fireplace and wood burning stove. (wood supplied), beamed ceiling. Freeview TV/DVD. Wi-fi. Open staircase from the lounge. Kitchen with Fridge, Freezer, Microwave and electric cooker, and acess to the conservatory overlooking the south facing garden and extensive rural views with an abundance of wildlife. Large shower room with WC and washbasin. First floor; From the open wooden stair case is a small galleried landing and bathroom with bath, washbasin and wc. Then up a few steps to a small landing with two bedrooms. One with double bed and the other having twins (please note sloping ceilings.) Garden; Secluded rear garden. Parking; Parking for one car in the drive. Further parking on grass area in front of the property. £100 refundable breakage deposit payable with the balance. £30 per week per dog ( maximum 2) £25 Booking fee. Snettisham village itself is just a minutes drive although there are some beautiful country walks and lanes close by which will take you in to the village, having several small shops, pubs with restaurants, bistro, Antique centre with restaurant. Park Farm is a five minute walk away with its deer park, farm animals, tractor tours, tearooms, play area and shop selling food from the region. Snettisham Beach is just a few minutes by car and is popular for sailing. The bird reserve close to the beach has featured many times on television with its abundance of migrating and resident birds. We loved the wildlife and this spacious house, we would love to come back for longer. The ducklings were such a treat. The birds, hares, deer, cats also. The walk to Snettisham beach through the woods. The walk in the. Sun at Old Hunstanton beach, the wrecked boat, the beach shop, seeing people having fun again. HEACHAM is the home of Norfolk Lavender where you can see the history of the site and buy lavender produce besides many other interesting gifts. Farm Shop. Restaurant. The animal Centre and Farmer Fred's Adventure Play Barn are open all year for children and visitors. The village offers a wide choice of pubs/restaurants, plus local shops all within easy reach of our holiday homes here. A good bus service runs every half hour to Hunstanton or Kings Lynn. The beach from the village is about a mile although there is parking, and a popular pub and restaurant on the way back if you walk! Ice creams and fish and chips available at North Beach.There is a beach cafe at South Beach. A circular walk along from one beach to the other and through the village. Sandringham House with it's stunning gardens, museum and surrounding park are open most days throughout the year, perfect for picnics and dog walking. July's Flower Show is something not to be missed! Being attended by royalty and offering a superb day out for all the family. Only 8 miles from Hunstanton, it is the perfect attraction at any time of year. Entrance to the park is free but parking charges apply. SNETTISHAM AND DERSINGHAM are very busy villages with several little shops, pubs, cafes and churches. Snettisham Beach is just a few minutes by car and is popular for sailing. PENSTHORPE just outside Fakenham is also home to many different species of birds and a lovely day out for all the family with restaurant, walks, and play and information centres
