COVID-19 Update We want to reassure you that we are reducing risk of infection transmission. The room is deep cleaned and sanitised after every guest, with a two day booking buffer to give us time to do this thoroughly. The 'shared' bathroom is for guest use only. We will update you if we are contacted by HM test and trace, and observe a 2 metre social distance at all times. Please be aware that we have an exuberant young doodle who is large but enormously friendly. The bedroom is on the ground floor, and although there are steps up to the front door, there is stair-free access through the back. The beds are twin singles, but can easily be pushed together to make a kingsize. We no longer provide tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom in order to reduce infection risk, but please do ask if you would like a cup of tea or coffee (we are quite sad we can no longer provide this in-room). Please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will do our best to accommodate them. There is a fully fitted and fairly newly installed kitchen, along with a dining area where we spend a lot of our time, and you are more than welcome to join us in there. Please don’t be shy, as we are a friendly family and love to chat! Please also feel free to explore the garden and visit the chickens and ducks. We will dedicate the bathroom close to your room solely for your use. I mostly work from home and Keith is quite local, so we can easily provide assistance if you need help with anything. Mostly we are at home, although the dog is walked early morning and late afternoon. We are on the Downs Link route (the old railway line) and close to the South Downs way. The River Adur can be accessed via a pathway across the road. Steyning has some fabulous places to eat including the Steyning Tearooms, White’s restaurant and bar and Mama Mia’s Italian restaurant. The ruins of Bramber Castle are at the bottom of the road, and Bramber has the excellent Castle Inn pub. Bramber also has the Bramber Dragon Chinese restaurant and take away, and the Maharajah Indian restaurant. Both Steyning town centre and Bramber village are around a 10 minute walk away. There are regular buses to Shoreham by Sea and Brighton from both Steyning, Upper Beeding and Bramber. Shoreham by Sea is the closest train station, with regular connections to Brighton, Portsmouth, Gatwick and London. Shoreham is also home to Brighton City Airport. Keith is co-owner and head brewer at the local Riverside Brewery and their range of real ales and mead are available in local shops, can be purchased at the brewery or their online shop (Website hidden by Airbnb) Watson is our doodle puppy, now a year old and we welcome other friendly dogs to stay. He is a large and bouncy youngster, but absolutely adores new people coming to stay.
