Peaceful retreat away from busy lives; ideal for walkers, cyclists, fishermen, horse riders or families. Free spa (hot tub, sauna, steam room) and treatments (charged). Farm where children can feed hens/collect eggs, or learn to ride. Free river fishing (course and fly). Riverside setting on edge of Peak District but within easy reach of the vibrant city of Manchester. 5 cottages within an adjoining complex each sleeping 4 individually(total 20) pets welcome(£25 pw £15 3-4 days).Goyt has stairs. Welcome pack on arrival BHS Horses welcome (stable grazing/dressage and express event facilities) Trampoline BBQ's and sun loungers available Lockable cycle shed Spa open all day 9.30 am til 8.30 pm. Hot tub. sauna, steam room, relaxation and shower/changing room. Each cottage has a private-use time slot every day for you and your family, and is deep cleaned and disinfected between guests. Please note some treatments may be adapted, or not available due to current restrictions. Lisa, our therapist, will be wearing PPE and will check your temperature prior to any treatment-you may be required to wear a mask for some. We live in site and can be reached via phone e mail or simply knock on the farm house door Cycle/bridle/foot path meanders along the riverside with a short walk/cycle to a country pub which serves food all day, or for those interested in history link over to Chadkirk Country Estate and Chapel which dates back to the Doomsday book! Here you can also visit our local farm shop and purchase organic, locally produced food and drink. Alternatively, walk around the 100-acre farm and woodland, incorporating the grounds of the historically important Marple Hall, discover our private bluebell wood or search for the Common Spotted or Northern Marsh Orchids. Marple has a fantastic range of coffee shops restaurants and bars/pubs. and lovely walks along our famous Canal and Locks. We sell our own eggs and honey. 2 trains stations Rose Hill and Marple for easy links to the city of Manchester to visit the theatre/ shops/museums and galleries. Or out into the middle of the Peak District. Car necessary as we are rural. Rural setting our drive approach is quite narrow and bumpy in places, please drive slowly. As we have not got cable our WiFi occasionally drops out and is not as fast as you would expect in the city, it is adequate to run our business and is fine for general use! There's lots of walking please bring wellies or walking boots, crocs or flip flops are useful for spa area. During current Covid 19 restrictions all cottages are deep cleaned and disinfected between guests with a 2 hour air exchange and complete laundry change. We operate a 2 metre social distancing policy with hand-washing and sanitizer. We can offer complete self check-in, and in each cottage there is an in-depth information file, with all you need to know during your stay.
