Our unique cosy Shepherd's Hut is beautifully handcrafted in timber and includes small luxuries within a traditional rural space. Fully fitted kitchen, gas hob, oven and fridge. A king size double bed, shower and toilet. A log burner for chillier times and fully insulated. Sooth yourself with our luxury handmade sheep milk soap. The chickens can provide you with fresh eggs. Surrounded by our sheep and lambs in the fields yet within walking distance of the village, pub or circuit. No dogs. There is a hard standing parking area approximately 100yds from the hut. Our Zwartble sheep and lambs graze in the surrounding fields and the hut looks out over the natural pond, there is a seating area here too, you can observe the fish, dragonflies and water lilies and in summer the swallows swoop and drink from the pond, if you are lucky you may spot a kingfisher or heron. There are woods within 500yds of the property where there are lovely walks. The nature is abundant in the woods where there are muntjac, roe deer, badgers and foxes. There is lovely walk to either the Silverstone village pub, The White Horse situated in the historic centre of the village or through the woods to the neighbouring village of Abthorpe where The New Inn also serves food and will give you a warm welcome. We are not far from the circuit and the Silverstone Visitor Experience for those race enthusiasts, it is a walkable distance. We do not allow dogs, pets or children. We are available on mobile or email. Silverstone and the surrounding area has alot to offer. If you are a car enthusiast you can venture up to the circuit where there are track days and The Silverstone Experience or get yourselves some tickets and go to one of their events. The Cotswolds, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bicester Village, Blenheim Palace, Bletchley Park, Stowe National Trust are all places well worth a visit. There are lots of walks in and around the area and great cycling routes. Hinton Sky Diving Centre is 15 minutes away. For golf enthusiasts there is Whittlebury Golf Course and Silverstone Golf Course within 5 minutes and a riding school and the end of our lane. We are down a single farm lane. There is a good footpath to the centre of the village through fields. The village has a great pub, shop and post office and church. There are great cycling routes and some lovely local woodland walks. Local train stations are located in Milton Keynes, Banbury and Northampton with taxi services available. There is a bus service from the village to Towcester, Milton Keynes and Northampton. During March and April we will be lambing, during June, July and August we will be milking the sheep and would have fresh sheep milk to offer you. We take great pride in conservation on the property you will notice the tree planting, the wildlife corners and overgrown verges to encourage wildlife. We also keep bees and we are very happy to show you our apiary and honey is always available.
