Light, spacious, comfortable and newly build are the apartements of Ûnder de Wol in the Southwest of the province Friesland - Holland. It provides a cosy living room with equiped kitchen, a bedroom with kingsize bed and bathroom. There is a terrace with great view on the meadows. Private sauna in the farmhouse can be rent for € 15,- per hour. The apartments are situated in an old, but recently rebuild farmhouse, which can be found on the peaceful country road to the picturesque place called Sandfirden (Sânfurd in the Frisian language). Around the farm sheeps are grazing. You can see them from your terrace. The apartments of bij Ûnder de Wol are situated in the Southwest of Friesland (Fryslân), the most beautiful province in the North of Holland. If you prefer a larger apartment with seperate bedroom, the rates are higher. There is a parking lot for our guests cars and bicycles can be parked indoor. The farmhouse is located on a quiet spot on the road to Sandfirden. Watersports village Oudega SWF is within walking distance (1 km.). Here you will find restaurants, a boat rental and a small supermarket where you buy local products like the Frisian sugerbread. The environment is perfect for cycling or sailing; villages like Gaastmeer, Heeg and Eleven Cities such IJlst, Sneek, Bolsward and Workum are at short range. The Southwest of Friesland is known for its many lakes, fresh air, the Afsluitdijk, Woudagemaal and Wadden Islands. Friesland is the only province in the Netherlands with its own official language. Lonely Planet had good reasons for putting the province of Friesland number 3 on its list of hidden gems in Europe. The best way to reach Ûnder de Wol is to travel by car. You can park at number 12A. Walk the path next to the terraces to find the main entrance on the backside of the old farmhouse. You can also reach us with public transport. Get off the train at central station Sneek and take the bus to Heeg / Oudega. At the busstop Us Hiem (Oudega) you get off and walk another 500m. towards the farmhouse. - There are 4 different apartments, which are all different regarding size and facilities. - Local city taxes amount € 1,25 p.p.p.n. to be paid cash upon arrival. - Minimum stay is 3 nights during the weekends and 4 nights in the midweeks (in July and August only a week rent possible). - Monday and Friday are changeover days (in July and Augustus only Fridays). - Pets are allowed, only after inquiry before arrival, costs are € 5,- per night. - Private sauna can be rented on site for € 15,- per hour.
