Cottage in the Pines

Welcome to our cozy cottage. Relax among the pines and cedars. We are located approximately 1 hour from Sacramento and 1 hour from South Lake Tahoe, 5 miles to Sly Park/Jenkinson Lake Recreation Area, Apple Hill, and only 15 miles to historic Placerville. Located in Pollock Pines, half way between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe, this romantic guest suite has its own entrance & bath, separate from main house. There are 7 brick steps outside and 6 stairs inside the unit. The cozy room is paneled in knotty pine & accented in blue w/Queen bed. Kitchenette has mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Conveniently located within walking distance of stores & restaurants, yet very quiet. Enjoy the fire pit at night. A relaxing stop on your way to Tahoe, or stay awhile & enjoy our nearby lakes, trails & wineries. In the Fall, visit the Apple Hill farms. In the Winter, ski at Sierra-at-Tahoe only 27 miles away or Heavenly Valley in South Lake Tahoe, a bit further. The guest quarters are separate from the house, over the detached garage. The backyard is available for guests to use, including a firepit, gas BBQ, deck and patio. At least one of us is usually home to welcome you, and we are available to assist guests with questions about the area. Woodsy country feeling with convenient, easy-to-find location. Many great eateries nearby including Pizza Factory, Starbucks, Burger Barn with over 40 flavors of milkshakes, Pho Tahoe, 50 Grand with nightly specials such as prime rib and BBQ ribs, The historic Sportsman’s Hall, C&T's for hearty breakfasts and Mexican, and Taco Tuesdays at The Knott Hole are awesome! And during the Fall season, all the nearby Apple Hill farms serve up your favorite apple goodies. Safeway, Family Dollar, and CVS nearby. A car is recommended. Bus service is quite limited. Plenty of parking. Possibly could accommodate a trailer or boat.
