Pimlico - central London - double room + own bathroom. Suitable for theatre visits & days out sightseeing in London or visiting / attending meetings in Houses of Parliament / work visits. My home, is in an historic Thomas Cubitt designed Regency, stucco basement /garden flat in SW1. Close to Victoria & Pimlico tube [connections Heathrow] & Victoria / Coach Station /Gatwick Express. Nearest theatres staging Hamilton & Wicked, not far from Cursed Child. Hosts are fully coronavirus vaccinated Suitable for work trips, tourist trips, theatre visits, museums and days out sightseeing in central London. Double bed - wardrobe - wifi. Bedroom + Bathroom - with light access to our lounge and self-catering use of microwave / kettle in our galley kitchen - we are vegetarian and would request this is respected. A HOMESTAY: We are offering as an Airbnb for travellers / work visits ~ you are mostly out and about / sightseeing. If you need long day access please discuss & let us know during messaging. We need our space too as we are working [only recently added after an experience hosting]. As this is our home and we need to cook and rest after work - we added this comment after one guest assumed they had rented the whole flat & left a mess in our lounge and kitchen leaving us unable to cook in our own home :). Home and outside spaces are *^non-smoking^*. Please respect that this is a *non-smoking* home. THANKYOU! This is for all our safety and security _____ LOCATION: Central and can walk to most major sites in London. It's close to the tube stations too 5min / 10min walk from Pimlico and Victoria Train / Tube Stations depending on your pace. We are only 10 min walk from Victoria Coach Station; central as you can get whilst living in a residential community. Please respect our home, our neighbours and privacy. This is also a Regency flat in a central London listed historic building. It is not a new build. It was built as part of the famous Pimlico Grid by Cubbitt. The original mansions were then subdivided into apartments/flats/small homes. The price reflects what we actually pay to live here, we are not a business. We are not making a profit; just trying to cover high living costs in London. The room is our housemates room and is listed at cost. The per night price is a low 'B&B' price - not 'serviced apartment price'. [For an idea price comparison a neighbouring flat is priced at £1500 per week for full amenities 'serviced flat’. A pitch to place a tent in a camping ground in Cornwall is £20 per night in Summer]. Please bear in mind a local backpacker ‘hostel’ is £25 per person per night in *shared* rooms in bunk beds 4 people high with a shared bathroom for up to 30 people . But we are not a hostel, this is our home. Please be aware and remember this is our home. We are ordinary working Londoners as opposed to a hotel or show flat. We are not a business, just a ‘homestay’ for fellow travellers. We hope you enjoy your stay and we will do all we can to be helpfu _____ CHECK IN: 5pm We WORK. As per circumstances at the time, this may change eg suddenly needing the Doctors etc. If it’s hotel style check in you require; please consider that hotels employ staff. We are only a family at work. CHECK IN also needs to be pre arranged as we may be at work or with family / dealing with caring issues or other family business. **Please consider that we are not a hotel or a business but a family homestay and cannot provide 24h check in without prior arrangement. ** Please arrange check in times prior to traveling - preferably at time of booking, providing travel details as early as possible. Then when closer to the time we all reconfirm the original plans can be put into place. We have been able to accommodate almost everyone’s needs on this: TIMING: Also please keep to timing for check in as we are working and cannot be out of work longer than specified to help guests to our home drop bags etc. If you are delayed please keep in contact. A box of cereal will be made available if requested but I recommend guests buy in food to their taste. This is because of the following; Health and Safety: people taking their own responsibility for food allergies, keeping cost to guests down as I don’t make profit and I work so can’t provide a ‘service’ like this for guests I’m afraid. Where I have tea coffee soya milk, juice and fruit in guests are welcome to take some. We are vegetarian. With the Covid19 situation we respectfully socially distance. We have not shared the space with guests at the same time and vice versa. We also live in the flat, it is our home and it is the spare room which is on AirBnB along with the main bathroom for *almost exclusive use*. I say almost because we may need light access for equipment access, cleaning etc. Other than that we have our own bathroom and don't use the main bathroom. Happy to chat and respect mutual privacy. The lounge and galley kitchen is where my family relax and eat after work. Galley kitchens are small and thus we make access to the microwave and kettle etc : light cooking. We are vegetarian. 99% of our guests have respected this but on occasion we have been unable to cook or sit after work in my own home so am now [after a number of years hosting with no problem] requesting that our living space be respected. Please consider that the listing is a homestay and not a business / hotel or bed and breakfast. We are just home hosting and not a serviced apartment or hotel. We don't provide hotel services we are sharing our home with people who love to travel. If a service apartment or hotelier is your requirement and not a family home; please consider this when you book. Victoria & Pimlico is central / a short walk to parliament. You can walk to most major sites in London. It's close to the tube stations too. 5 / 10min [depending on your pace] from Pimlico & Victoria Tube / Stations. There is a bus stop at the end of the road. 1 min away. The shops are close, for buying items for breakfast, lunch and dinner too. There is also a deli on the corner and a Greggs for great coffee and even vegan sausage rolls! We are close to the Victoria Station area theatres for the blockbuster shows Hamilton and Wicked. 5min from Pimlico Tube Station and Victoria Coach, Tube, Train and Bus Station. Handy for Gatwick Express [LGW] and tube / coach links to London Heathrow [LHR], Luton and Stansted Airports [EasyJet and Ryanair flights]. There are also standard train links to Gatwick Airport [Brighton Line]. Tube lines: Victoria [links to Piccadilly for LHR] District [Wimbledon] Circle Lines [Kensington - Liverpool St] Bus: 24 - through London to Hampstead via West End theatres C10 - Canada Water 360 - Albert Hall 11 , 87 - Liverpool Street (via Trafalgar Square) Water Taxi - Tate to Tate from Millbank Please ensure you are Government ID verified with a profile photograph for all our security. _____ CHECK IN: Pre arranged only - usual time is normally after 5pm [circumstances vary obviously] Nearby: 2min walk = Italian Deli - good for breakfast Spanish Tapas - perfect for summer lunch Fish & Chip Shop - English Tradition 5min: Pimlico / Victoria - many places to eat. CHECK IN: Check in is flexible but I do need to have clear communication of travel plans and flight train arrival times, so I can arrange to be there.
