Casple Cottage
This 19th century miner's cottage has been sensitively refurbished with exposed beams and granite walls. In an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 7 miles from Land's End it has plenty to offer as a self-catering family holiday destination. Bookings between 25th July and 15th August must be for the full week, ie 7 nights. The cottage offers open plan lounge/dining area with a wood-burner in the lounge. The kitchen offers electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave and fridge/freezer, and a back door leading out to the enclosed paved back yard where surfboards, bikes can be safely stored. Upstairs the double bedroom offers a king size bed and the second bedroom offers two 3' pine beds. There is a separate cloakroom, and a separate shower cubicle in the main bathroom. There is a pretty garden to the front of the cottage looking up across the fields to St Just Church. Guests have the use of the whole cottage during their stay. We have a housekeeper who lives locally and can respond to any problems if they occur. St Just is well situated for a variety of activities. Approximately 7 miles from Land's End and 5 miles from Sennen beach, it is within easy access to the coastal footpath. Driving northwards leads one through the Geevor/Levant mining landscape of Poldark fame, and further on to St Ives and the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum. There are several National Trust properties in the region, St Michael's Mount and Trengwainton Gardens for instance. To the south one can visit the clifftop Minack Theatre, Lamorna Cove and Newlyn before reaching Penzance. There is coast, sea and moorland on the doorstep. Parking is alongside the garden wall. There is a bus route running from Penzance to St Ives at the end of the road. Penzance is the railway terminus. On-road parking is along the garden wall at the front of the cottage.
