Countryside B&B nice old farmhouse

In the country side, in the vicinity of cities like Amsterdam (65 km, direct train connection), Utrecht (30 km), Rotterdam (30 km) and Gouda (10 km), surrounded by green meadows, characteristic villages you will find the Droomgaerd our B&B. The Droomgaerd is a pleasant, (grand)child friendly, B&B, with an apartment (4 people) and a garden room (2 people). The apartment is situated in the front of the farmhouse dating from the end of the 19th century around 1890. Our price for the apartment is Euro 70 for the first and thereafter 30 euro pp, child up to 12 years is 25 Euro. The price indicated on this site is based on adults and will be adjusted depending on number and age of the guests. The easiest is to pay cash for the children. The living room is right next to the entrance and includes television, WIFI, mini bar. In addition there is an ancient glass cupboard and in various cupboards you will find toys for the (small)children and some games. There are magazines available and information of the surroundings and nearby activities. In this room we also service the breakfast, we have a dinner table a sofa and a grandfather´s chair to relax. From this room you have a view over the dike to the river Vlist (small) and the authentic farm on the other side. The breakfast consists of cooked eggs of our own chicken, local cheese, and everything else you would expect including nice rolls and pastry. Use of the owners kitchen next to the living room is possible. The opkamer with the cupboard bed provides sleeping place for two adults or children. There is an authentic cupboard bed with in addition a children´s bed (max 130 cm) or an adult bed. There is also a baby bed available. The star catcher in the “wooden shoe” will supervise you during your sleep! The other bedroom provides room to two persons. There is a comfortable two persons bed and there is space to store your belongings. The view over the “polder” and the silence you will experience here arranges for a good night rest. The shower and toilet are in the corridor next to the rooms. As a guest you will receive a key of your own entrance to the farmhouse. In addition the whole area has WIFI. Separately we have on the first floor the garden room for two visitors. The room is 25m2 and includes kingsize bed, comfortable couch and dinner table. Bathroom is jointly with the owner. The rate is 50 euro for the first person and 30 euro for the second. The Droomgaerd provides all necessary comfort also for our small visitors and we hope your stay will be a great success. There is a large sand box with tools, a great swing and lot of toys. Furthermore there is an old fashioned child chair, a trip trap and a child box. For the very small guests we have an old light blue Van Delft baby carriage. In spring and summer it is very nice to sit or walk around in the garden. If the weather permits we are pleased to service your breakfast outside. Our apartment guest have access to the bed rooms, guest room, private shower, toilet, lovely garden, and orchard. In addition we rent four bikes, a two persons canoe and a rowing boat (for free if you stay three nights or more). Enjoy our place and hospitality. We look forward to your arrival. Droomgaerd B&B is situated on the border between the Krimpenerwaard and Lopikerwaard both beautiful natural areas in the Green heart of The Netherlands. For walkers, nature lovers and bikers there is a lot to do and the Droomgaerd is the perfect home base to enjoy the space and quietness of this very typical Dutch “polder” and river landscape. Next to the extensive green meadows there are various small touristic villages and towns in the direct environment well worth visiting like Gouda (cheese, 10 km), Schoonhoven (silver, 5 km), Oudewater (ropes and witches , 10 km) and Nieuwpoort (small waterworks, 7 km). The area is surrounded by two rivers the Lek and the Hollandse IJssel that create room for bike and walking tours as well as water sports. In addition we have for the bike, walk and water sport enjoyers the Reeuwijkse plassen (10 km) with plenty of room for sailing and to enjoy nature. Most likely as a visitor of the Droomgaerd you will come by car or bike. For both there is sufficient place to park on the own area for free. In case you arrive with public transport we offer you the possibility (free of charge) to be picked up as a guest of the Droomgaerd from the train station in Gouda or Gouda Goverwelle in our old timer DS. You can enjoy a special drive to the Droomgaerd for free. The DS provides sufficient place for our guests and their luggage. By car. From Utrecht you take the junction Nieuwegein/Schoonhoven direction Schoonhoven, before reaching Schoonhoven you take on the T-split roundabout direction Polsbroek/Polsbroekerdam and from their you follow the signs Vlist. From Polsbroek you will be directed left over a bridge and than immediately right over the next bridge and again right along the water (the Vlist). After approx. 400 meter you will come through the small village of Vlist with on your right the café de Vlisterstee. You continue following the road until on your left you reach number 40 with the blue Droomgaerd sign. There is sufficient parking place. Be Welcome! From The Hague /Rotterdam you will follow the A12/A20 to the junction Gouda West. You will follow the road in the direction of Gouda to the Locker area and take the direction Haastrecht. You continue following the Haastrecht signs. Upoan arrival in Haastrecht you take the roundabout for a quarter in the direction of Vlist. After approx. 4 kilometer over the dike you will find on your left an old fashioned haystack. You continue driving and after 400 meters on your right you will find the blue sign of the Droomgaerd number 40. There is sufficient parking place. Be Welcome! By Public Transport. Take the train to Gouda CS. From there you take the bus to IJsselstein binnenstad (is not very frequent) number 106. You leave the bus at the stop Vrouwenbrug near the old fashioned haystack. You continue walking in the direction the bus was driving and after approx.. 400 meter you will find the blue Droomgaerd sign number 40 (you can also ask the bus driver to stop at number 40) Be Welcome!
