Popes Farmhouse

Our house is set in a remote and peaceful location, surrounded by fields and woods. It is only twenty miles from central London; the nearest station is Hatfield, where there are regular trains to Kings Cross. It is very child friendly - we have five double rooms and a spare room child’s room as well. There are woods to explore, a short walk to a lovely unspoiled local pub, barbecue, fire pit, aga, log fires. The house is a little scruffy as we have five children and we never seem to have enough time to keep everything in perfect order. The garden could do with a bit of attention as well! However we keep the house clean and tidy and if you are looking for a family friendly place away from it all, yet close to London, this could be ideal. We also have broadband Internet. You are welcome to use all parts of the house and garden. Please feel free to call us anytime. Unspoilt local English pub, peace and quiet, no neighbours to worry about. Hatfield House is nearby, which is an historic stately home with beautiful gardens, children's adventure playground and children's animal farm. Harry Potter World approx 20 minutes away, 40 minutes to Woburn Safari Park and 15 minutes to Willows Activity Farm. Hatfield station is 10 minutes drive away with regular trains to London Kings Cross that take 20 minutes. The local pub is called the Woodman, and we leave the keys to the house there. You just say you are staying at Popes Farm and can you have the keys. The Woodman is open on Mondays through Saturdays at 11.30 until 2.30, and again from 5.30 until 11pm. On Sundays it is open from 12 until 2.30, and again from 7 until 10.30pm.
