Our Cosy Cottage, visit the famous chateaux.

Our Cosy cottage is sitting in a lovely rural village with a small shop and bar. It is in a great position for visiting the surrounding area and visiting the three local chateaux from 'Escape to the Chateau DIY' on TV 'Chateau de le Motte 20 mins/ Chateau Basmaignee 30mins/ Chateau de Bailleul 30 mins , great situation for cycling, walking, and sight seeing. BED LINEN AND TOWELS INCLUDED FREE AS IS WiFi. The cottage is on three levels - Top floor - double bedroom, middle floor living room and toilet, lower level kitchen, bedroom area & shower room. (The bedroom area is seperated by a black out privacy curtain and black out blind on the door when needed) . Going by our guests reviews - we provide just about everything needed for your stay. (but no food) We have a fold-up bed and a cot for possible extra guests. Dining seating for 4 plus a highchair &/ booster chair. There is freeview TV both French and English. A DVD player and a selection of DVD's to watch (both French & English. There is a HiFi with a selection CD's too. We have a Wood burner and the first basket of wood is provided. Due to the recent very warm weather we have installed an AC unit on the middle floor (living area) which we hope guests will really benefit from! There is seating for 4 comfortably. Washing machine,Iron, ironing board, microwave, hairdryer etc. An airer and the use of the washing line in the garden. Lots of leaflets are provided to help you plan your holiday before you leave the cottage if that is what you wish to do. The cottage is situated in a easy access position and close to small shop / bar and a lovely old church. Parking spaces in front of the cottage. Guests have access to the private garden which has an allocated area for guests. There is a washing line available should you need it. We meet and greet our guests and show them around the cottage and garden. The only time we see our guests is if they need us or if they need guidance on the places to visit or maybe a little help with the language. Sometimes they just want to chat! (during COVID19, meet and greet is not possible unfortunately) The cottage is situated in the centre of a lovely rural village with delightful neighbours. The bar / shop is a tranquil place to go to within 50 yards of the cottage. 10 Minutes walk away is a fantastic restaurant within a walled garden with a lovely secluded terrace. it has recently been extended and beautifully decorated! It is a lovely walk with fantastic views! There are lots of other restaurants in both nearby Lassay les Chateaux and Mayenne, too many to mention but we can give recommendations and directions. A car/motorbike is essential to staying at the cottage unless of course you really want to chill! In the summer there is a bus available twice a week to go to the swimming pool in Lassay les Chateaux. As you will have seen, we DO NOT provide breakfast. if you would like us to buy in a few items please do ask.
