Just moments from the sands of Saltburn beach and a few minutes walk to the excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants, the cottage is ideally placed for exploring the coastal town. If you're looking for a peaceful break by the sea, Groveside Cottage is your perfect pick. The Space: On the ground floor of the cottage, you’ll find the spacious bedroom and en suite bathroom. Featuring a black iron bed and matching wooden furniture, this traditional space is welcoming and homely. Retreat to the comfy King size bed after a day at the beach and you’ll wake up feeling well rested as it boasts plush bedding and premium linens. The en suite bathroom includes one bathroom with a WC and basin plus one shower room with a WC and basin. Modern in design, they have neutral coloured tiles and chrome finishings. Head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll be welcomed into the open plan kitchen, living and dining area. With original exposed beams, a high vaulted ceiling and skylight windows, this space is bright and airy. The perfect spot to relax, you can chill in front of the log effect fire, turn on the flat screen TV and kick back on the sofa after a full day of exploring the coast. Groveside Cottage also has Amazon Firesticks in the lounge and bedroom so you can make the most of your nights in in front of the box. In the summer months, open up the glass doors and let the warm breeze drift in. You’ll have everything you need for your retreat as the kitchen is fully equipped with self-catering facilities. You can easily prepare meals as the cottage has an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. There is also a washing machine and dryer making it ideal for longer stays. Also sharing the open plan space is the dining area. Situated between the kitchen and living area, it is in the perfect spot for socialising and entertaining. Outside you’ll find a charming yard area complete with outdoor furniture. You can enjoy al fresco meals, morning coffees in the sunshine and a glass of something bubbly as the night draws in. Decorated with bunting and painted white, grey and blue, this delightful space is an added bonus in Saltburn. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full cottage. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Although the property is family friendly, it may not be the most suitable for toddlers as we're unable to fit a stair gate at the top of the stairs On street parking is available free of charge. The Neighborhood: Groveside Cottage is located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast. Located in the heart of the town, the detached cottage is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance. Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful! Getting Around: Groveside Cottage is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors. Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
