Our large safari tent is more like a lodge as it has a raised wooden floor, large windows and a beautiful wood burning stove inside. Abbott's rest is close to 3 beaches and walking distance from Holkham Hall. It is on a Wild Campsite so you'll get close to nature and experience a forgotten Norfolk Brickyard. You’ll love the seclusion, the peace and quiet and the rest of the campsite. Abbott's Rest is a beautiful place for couples, small families with 2 kids or great for a group of 4 friends. The Brickyard Campsite is a unique spot secretly hidden on the North Norfolk coast. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty you’ll feel like you have the whole place to yourselves! If you love owls hooting, deer grazing and stoats racing this is the place for you. We do not supply bedding so please bring your own pillow cases, sheets and blankets. You’ll stay up at the Brickmaker's with no neighbouring pitches, ensuring complete privacy and seclusion for the duration of your stay. You have your own quirky and comfortable loo and shower close to the tent but you're welcome to explore the site and join in with other campers using the pizza oven if you'd like. We also have a communal barn. 2 miles to Burnham Market- delis, shops, butchers and bakers 2.5 miles to Holkham Beach- miles and miles of unspoilt sandy beach 3.6 miles to the Quay at Wells next the sea- proper fish and chips, quirky seaside shops 1.9 miles to Burnham Overy Staithe- local harbour with boat trips to the island and canoe hire 1.5 miles to Holkham Hall- park land for picnicking, boat and cycle hire I'm so sorry but we don't take dogs. This is because we have game keepers working the site for predators like foxes. The traps they set are harmless to humans but can be very bad news for dogs. Many campers find alternative arrangements for their dog or dogs, the kennel of mum and dad? We hope you can come if you can leave the dogs behind. Please try and arrive before dark.
