Cotswold cottage in town centre

Two cottages cleverly combined retaining some 19th century features. Private walled garden. Central location just minutes from good eateries, shops and 4 doors from the wonderful Chipping Norton Theatre. On street parking outside the house may be available. Otherwise there is free parking nearby. Central location but in a quiet street which is in the old part of the working Cotswold town of Chipping Norton. The guest room has a double aspect to the street and the garden; sunny for most of the day. House shared with Miffy, long haired tabby rescue cat. She is not allowed in the guest room even when it's unoccupied. Guests may use the dining / lounge area, TV and garden. The bathroom is not en suite but is for your sole use during your stay. You may use the kitchen, fridge etc. but please be sure to santise/wash your hands frequently. I am usually at home for the evening and a good part of the day. If available - but not during the current pandemic - I can also drive guests to wonderful local locations which are not accessible by public transport. There would be a small charge for petrol used - cheaper than a taxi or hiring a car. Chipping Norton is on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many beautiful villages of sandy coloured stone houses in the locality but Chippy itself is not spoilt by hoards of tourists. I can lend you tourist info, maps and walk books. Many well established old local pubs. Ask me for restaurant/pub recommendations. There are buses to Banbury, Oxford and Stratford on Avon. The nearest train stations are Charlbury or Kingham. Unfortunately there is no regular public transport to connect them to Chipping Norton, though the town is served by several taxi companies. If available, I can act as a taxi at a cost of 50p per mile. Single occupancy £50. 10% reduction for full week's stay. Other possible reductions may be negotiated. Full compliance with social distancing, sanitising and the wearing of masks when appropriate is required. Smoking in the garden only. No hot food upstairs, please.
