Comfort is a priority for all my guests therefore you’ll find high quality bedding (400 tpc) and white Egyptian cotton towels. We consider that we are friendly and considerate to all our guests which is just a reciprocation of what we expect from them. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We are also a short drive from Solent College, Daedalus, HMS Sultan and HMS Collingwood so we could be ideally suited to visiting business people. Choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice, fresh fruit and breakfast biscuits which are replenished daily Tea and coffee making facilities Fridge in bedroom Microwave in bedroom Black-out blinds and black-out curtains Shared use of a modern, newly installed bathroom Electric fan for those hot summer nights Off road parking Please note: Guest towels are provided in the bedroom. Please do not use family towels located in the bathroom. Also please note that we do not provide toiletries.....guests should please bring their own. Access is via a shared, communal front door and hallway/stairs. You will find a bolt on the bedroom door and this is because we will always respect your privacy. A nourishing breakfast is available in your room but please feel free to use our kitchen if you prefer. Our garden is available for you to use anytime. We will always be available (either onsite or by mobile) should you require help. Our road is mainly quiet due to it being set back from the main road on a small service road. Therefore there is ample room for car parking both on our drive and on the quiet service road Limited buses are available at the end of the road (2 minutes walk) and will transport you to Fareham and into Gosport which is convenient for its ferry to the Hard, Portsmouth. These, in turn, have bus links to Southsea and other outlying destinations plus ferry connections from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight and the Continent. There is also a mainline railway station at both Portsmouth and Fareham. At the opposite end of our road (5-10 minutes walk) buses are available to take you to either Stubbington with its village green or to the coast at Lee-on-the-Solent Please note however that buses are infrequent. We are ideally located for HMS Sultan and HMS Collingwood. We consider ourselves lucky to be in a central location with Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester and Winchester within easy driving distance (approx 30-45 minutes). The New Forest and the South Downs about 1 hour away and Salisbury with its Norman Cathedral and close proximity to Stonehenge is certainly worth the 1.5 hour drive as is Bournemouth and Brighton being just a day trip away. PLEASE NOTE; A car will be required as buses only run 2 hourly and we are not close to restaurants etc. However taxis are easily obtained and if your destination is local, and we are available, we will be happy to drive you.
