Gorgeous Garrison Lake House Near NYC!

Tranquility and relaxation await at this beautiful lake front home located just an hour from NYC. This is the perfect escape for those who want to feel like they are a world away, but may not want to drive for hours to get there. Amazing views abound in this beautiful home. The front sun room is a favorite with it's huge windows and stunning views of the lake. The house has 2 queen bedrooms, and is suitable for parties of 4 or fewer. The large living room is the perfect place to relax with comfortable furnishings, a large flatscreen (Netflix, cable & wifi) and a lovely stone fireplace. The dining area has a large wooden table. The full kitchen has all needed gadgets and appliances including a Vitamix and Saeco espresso machine, and the expansive deck has relaxing patio furniture and BBQ. There also is dining area in a beautiful screened in porch which has cathedral ceilings and skylights. The house has all the comforts of home including central air, a remodeled bathroom with spa-like shower, fully stocked kitchen and much more. We do not however have a washer and dryer for use so please plan accordingly. There is plenty to do both on and off the property. The lake offers fun and relaxation. Sit and relax in one of the adirondack chairs on your private lakefront property, or cool off in the fresh water. Only non-motorizred boats are allowed so you will get to enjoy total peace and quiet. If hiking is your thing, the appalachian trail runs right through the neighborhood. Get out and explore the beautiful woodlands and see a huge variety of birds and plant life. Also, history surrounds you as the oldest road in the county runs through the neighborhood. Unpaved to secure it's historical value, you can see rock walls confederate solders had built, and the "dancing rock" indians used as a gathering place. The surrounding area also offers plenty of great restaurants, farmer's markets, and cute towns for day get-aways including Cold Spring (15m away) and West Point (just across the river). For the Autumn season there are also a plethora of pumpkin and apple farms as well as an pumpkin exhibit called "THE BLAZE" just 15 minutes away! This is a very special place and a perfect retreat for the whole family. Come unwind and enjoy the beautiful natural setting in this wonderful lake house. A true vacation. No smoking or pets. This is a small peaceful community. NO parties. No outside guests. All renters and guests must be registered with us. Pre-approval is necessary. **DISCOUNTS FOR SOME EXTENDED STAYS & SOME WEEKDAY STAYS (usually off season) Guests have access to a beautiful deck with outdoor furniture, lake access from our property, miles and miles of natural wooded surroundings, and lots of peace and serenity . I am happy to have as much or as little interaction as guests prefer! I'm always just a phone call (or text) away for questions or if anything is needed! A charming lake community with natural beauty at every turn. Rustic dirt roads and natural surroundings abound. UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 Community Park is NOT available for use at this time. All swimming must be done off our property We are about 10-15m (driving) from Garrison and Peekskill train stations (Metro North) and the same distance to shopping centers, food stores, etc. A car is necessary unless you come with all you need for a weekend-- then you can cab it from the station and enjoy being off the beaten path! Please see our guidebook for full details! We use the house quite often so more likely than not, anything needed is there. If guests have babies, feel free to inquire about a pack and plays, and other baby items. This is a small private community, so we ask only respectful guests inquire. All guests must be registered with our lake association and community rules abided by. 3 night minimums may be imposed during high season & holidays.
