I remain contactable throughout your stay. Marlow is a vibrant town on the banks of the River Thames. The town has a wide selection of boutique shops and is a ‘foodies’ haven with lots of places to eat and drink. Home to the Marlow Rowing Club, the town holds its own annual regatta. If boating is your thing, you can take a cruise along the river or hire a boat yourself - stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking also seem to be very popular if you’re feeling brave. If you’re like me and enjoy a scenic stroll, then head down the High St to Higginson Park and follow the path along the river to Temple, Hurley and beyond to Henley-on-Thames. In the opposite direction the Thames Path leads to Bourne End and Cookham. Marlow has easy access to the M4 and the M40 via the A404. The station is a short walk away with services to London and Reading via Maidenhead. The High Street is a two minute level walk away from the apartment via Liston Square (just follow the path around the larger car park at the front of the building. The park and river is a 5-10 minutes walk. The Hand & Flowers is around a 10 minute walk (perhaps 15 depending on heels!). Further afield, Henley-on-Thames is roughly 8 miles away with Cliveden a similar distance - as is Bray where Heston Blumenthal and Alain Roux delight the tastebuds. Danesfield House, around 5 miles away, has an upmarket spa which can be booked in advance along with a sumptuous afternoon tea. If you’re hoping for an even posher tea and crumpet experience then drive to Windsor (12.5 miles); here I find a treat for the corgis always goes down well! The apartment block is conveniently located in a quiet, residential side street within a short walk of the High St, there is occasional early morning traffic along this road which leads to the rear of the shops and the town post office. The apartment is on the first floor, accessed by stairs; we do not have a lift/elevator in the building.
