The ultimate luxury hideaway.
The Priest House is situated in the garden of our home on the edge of the village, next to the beautiful Saxon Church of St Andrews. We are only 1.5 miles from the popular wedding venue of Cripps Barn. The cottage sleeps 2 people in one bedroom. It is ideal for a romantic getaway or just a well earned rest! The accommodation in under the tiled roof, the thatched end is a home office carefully sound proofed and not used all the time so you won’t be disturbed The Priest House is a restored 14th Century building. It sits in the garden of our home, but has its own little courtyard garden in front of the cottage. The accommodation in under the tiled roof, the thatched end is a home office carefully sound proofed and not used all the time so you won’t be disturbed. There is plenty of parking space in the drive way. Coln Rogers is a tiny village in the Coln Valley approximately 8 miles from the market town of Cirencester. It is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and there are lovely walks and places of interest to visit close by. The Priest House is not suitable for children Our home is next door, so as long as we are there we will be available should you need help with anything. We leave a welcome basket on arrival with bread, croissant, butter, jam, milk, tea, coffee and orange juice and some biscuits. The Coln valley is one of the most picturesque areas of the Cotswolds. It is one of the few areas where you don't experience planes, road noise or have your views interrupted by pylons. There are some great pubs nearby serving delicious food. Cirencester has a number of bars, cafe's and restaurants. This is also the place to go for supermarkets and other shops. A car is essential. There is a very limited bus service to Cirencester, but in order to be able to explore the area fully, you will need to be mobile. Part of the attraction of the area is the fact that we are in a quiet little village, but it does mean you need to be able to come and go under your own steam The head height downstairs in the Priest House is 6ft at it’s lowest point with one beam a bit lower. There is no telephone in the Priest House or mobile signal, but we do have wifi. There are no laundry facilities. This is a 14th Century cottage with original beams and stone work, as such, despite the fact that we check thoroughly before you arrive, there may be the odd spider. I only mention this as we have had a couple of guests comment on it recently. The bathroom is downstairs
