Shepherds Hut at Heyes Farm
Get away from it all in our cosy shepherds hut, surrounded by woodland, fields and delightful alpacas. As you drive or cycle along the 1 kilometre track you will see hares and rabbits, pheasants, partridges and red kites. You may see muntjac deer and buzzards too! Super king-sized bed, private fire pit and barbecue, deckchairs ....... You can be "off-grid" with eco-loo or use the washroom with flush toilets, kitchen area and shower. We are situated on the National Cycle Route 12 and close to the Green Wheel - a network of cycleways around Peterborough. Close to Peterborough and Ferry Meadows country park. The Great Fen Project is less than a mile away Cambridge is an hour (by car) We live on the small-holding but like to give guests the chance to be independent and relax in their own space. Happy to introduce you to our lovely alpacas. Just have a word with us when you see us around. The hut is set in a field, overlooking the Fens. Our alpacas graze in the next field, and you will see plenty of wildlife - rabbits and hares, red kites etc. There are short grassy walks around the smallholding or longer countryside walks nearby. Easy access by road - just a mile from the A1 with plenty of parking. It is on the National cycle route 12. Buses from Huntingdon, Cambridge and Peterborough stop half a mile away. You may be interested in meeting our alpacas! They live in a neighbouring field and are very curious! We offer walks and occasional children's parties.
