Cosy, traditional cottage in High Peaks
A contemporary Derbyshire stone cottage with log burner for cosy evenings by the fire. The cottage sits on the edge of the Peak District National Park and popular tourist destination Whaley Bridge. The two bedroom cottage features a living room that can comfortably seat up to four people with a three seater sofa and armchair, fire, TV, DAB radio, occasional tables and Wi-Fi. The property is close to Kinder Scout and Mam Tor and other stunning locations including Goyt and Hope Valley The recently redecorated kitchen has a snug and stylish dining area that is perfect for up to four people. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom and bathroom, with shower and bath, and a further single bedroom. There's also front garden and a small private patio garden for Spring/Summer evenings. Self checkin available. Checkin is from 3pm and checkout 11am. I’m available in the village should anyone need anything during their stay There’s a lovely walk along the river into Whaley Bridge via a park. Turn left when you come out of the house and take the first left down Goyt Road which leads to the park and river. Follow the river all the way to Whaley Bridge where there are some local shops, a small supermarket and some great coffee shops. There’s plenty of parking on the road outside the cottage. There’s a manual at the cottage with immediate local walks and a large framed OS map on the wall in the dining area at the cottage to look at and plan your day over breakfast. For the more daring explorers there’s the Peak Districts highest peak Kinder Scout just a 10 minute drive away or the stunning Mam Tor peak only 15 minutes away. Both are featured in the manual with directions. During your stay you should also check out the Blue John Cavern.
