B&B Off the beaten track

Grove House is a small holding located in the heart of the New Forest, providing a traditional country house bed and breakfast stay. Beautifully situated in a mature garden with fantastic walking and cycling just outside the front door. A relaxing stay in this characterful house will provide the perfect base for your break. Set in a peaceful location we have a large comfortable double aspect room with a king size bed and country views. The spacious en suite has a free standing roll top bath and seperate shower with rain head and also a riser rail. The room has tea and coffee making facilities. There is WiFi internet access and a television. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, juice and a cooked selection of your choice with eggs from our chickens and locally sourced bacon and sausages, followed by toast from homemade bread, home produced honey, homemade jams and marmalade . This is served in our east facing breakfast room, with a bay window and rural views. If you prefer not to have breakfast please let us know as there will be a price reduction. There is plenty of parking off road in the driveway, secure storage for bikes and a large porch for wet muddy boots! We are situated in a rural location with no public transport to Minstead. Booking a taxi can be a challenge so recommend your own wheels! Making your stay as enjoyable as possible is important to us. Having always lived in the New Forest we have great knowledge of the local area so can provide recommendations and information to explore this beautiful national park. Being set in a fantastic location means there are lots of great ways to enjoy your break. There are three pubs within walking distance of Grove House. The Trusty Servant is approximately a mile away down quiet country lanes, a footpath through woods and then alongside open farmland and past the historic village church (well worth a visit!) The other two pubs are within an hours walk, offering some stunning scenery. Maps can be provided to help ensure you get to your tipple! Furzey gardens is approximately half a mile away. This well known garden is a great way to spend a few hours and also has an excellent cafe and gift shop. There are many miles of cycle routes in The New Forest, with a cycle map you can decide just how ambitious and energetic you are! It's a wonderful peaceful experience cycling down tracks with stunning scenery and wildlife, the only traffic being new forest ponies and cattle! The coast is approximately a 20 minute drive away, with beautiful harbours, scenic coastal paths and towns. There is an opportunity to take the ferry to the Isle of Wight if you would like to explore further afield.
