Charming countryhouse near Nyköping

Our summer house has a lovely location between the forest and open fields. Build as a farm house in the early part of last century it has remained its original charm. The forest that borders Janstorp is a local nature reserve with several good hiking trails. From July onwards berries and mushrooms are plentiful. Secluded but very close to town of Nyköping and beaches. Not far from Stockholm Skavsta Airport. The main building at Janstorp comfortable accommodates a family or a group of friends. On the ground floor there is a large living room, a kitchen and bathroom and upstairs two bed rooms . The kitchen and living room each have one stove. Fire wood is supplied. A recent addition is a porch in front of the house with great views of the garden and surroundings. A nice place to sit if the evening is chilly. In a corner of the Janstorp grounds your hosts may be busy with gardening if the weather is good. But rest a sure, the garden is large and there is plenty of room for privacy. At times your host family will be staying in a small cottage on the Janstorp grounds and ready to help you with what you may need. Marinus and Anette live in nearby Nyköping and are easy to reach. Deers, foxes, pheasants and eagles visit regularly. Elks and boars are more shy but inhabit the nearby forest. In the garden we have wild strawberries, rhubarb, raspberries, black currant, strawberries, herbs, vegetables and potatoes. There are many sighseeing places in the surrounding. They are listed in the pictures of the house. The nearest beach is 3 km away (an even better one 4 km). Supermarket 4 km, central Nyköping 7 km, Stockholm Skavsta Airport 15 km, central Stockholm 110 km Janstorp is located at the end of a 900 metre gravel road that can be un-accessable if there is a lot of snow in winter. This happens rarely but be aware of the risk. Between open fields and the forest Janstorp has a perfect location. It's totally secluded with its nearest neighbour one kilometre away, yet it's only 7 km to the centre of Nyköping town and a short bicycle ride to the beach. Ask us if you want to borrow bicycles. There is also a bicycle trailer carrying one or two toddlers or your groceries. In summer we have half a dozen hens for fresh eggs.
