Our Mhamid Desert Camp is set a step away from the famous village of Mhamid, staying in our Camp gives you the opportunity to watch breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, lose yourself in the silence and peacefulness of our charming Berber tents as well as enjoy Berber campfires with traditional music, excellent traditional dinners and breakfasts. What you are guaranteed to get out of your stay in our desert camp : -  breathtaking sunsets and sunrises over a clear 360° horizon over an immensely magnificent landscape -  surreal vistas of deep orange-gold-pink colored dunes crafted by the wind -  silence, peacefulness and quiet in a vast space unlike anything most people ever get to experience - a myriad of stars and the shining band of the Milky Way across the desert night sky -  Berber’s campfires with traditional music, excellent traditional diners and breakfasts The area and the kitchen is available for everyone who like to use it. We run excursions to the desert by camels and 4x4, the camels trips can long from 1 day till 1 week in the desert, all the nights will be spend in wild camp. If you are wishing to go farther to see the big sand dunes of Erg chigaga in less time we recommend you to take 1 day / 1 night 4x4 tour includes camel riding & sand boarding. We love to entertain our guests, especially in the evening before and after dinner, when the guitar and jambe come out. Of course, you can spend as much or as little time with us as you like, we are very easy going and love to learn about new cultures as well and we will be happy to share ours with you. The best thing about our neighborhood is that we are the only residents. The town is a 15-20 minute walk away (although we have a motorbike and a car we are always ready to use if you need anything from the town), and the neighboring camps are empty , so it is always quiet. The camp is where the sand dunes begins, during your stay here will give you the chance to walk more deeper in the sand dunes for more calmness and meditating by silence and watching the amazing sunsets/sunrises. - AIR: Nearest airport to M'hamid is Ouarzazate, (Royal Air Maroc) but the best and cheaper with more flights to Marrakech Airport. If you like to avoid the 10 hours by bus you can fly from Casablanca to Zagora then we will arrange you a private taxi transfer from the airport to the camp. - BUS FROM Marrakech: Company CTM (direct bus runs everyday from Marrakech To M'hamid) departure at 11:15 am arrival time to Mhamid at 9pm. it's also possible to rent a car in Marrakech or Ouarzazate will save you more time and you can stop where and when you wish. Coming from Marrakech you need to follow the road N/09 to Ouarzazate, Zagora and then drive along the Draa Valley until Mhamid. Once you take the bus we will be on the bus station to pick you to the camp. Our camp is located just where the sand dunes begins, our guests can walk to the sand dunes, walk to explore to the town or join one of our desert tours ;)
