Book swap, local maps, walks, dressing gown, blankets, cushions, yoga mat to use in garden when weather permits. The bed can pull out to super king size but then fills the room so advertised as a single. Please note we provide and ask for quiet between 10pm and 6am as we all love our sleep! Also that check-in is 1pm-8pm. Thank you. Quiet cosy room close to country walks, short drive or train/bus to spa town of Buxton or an hour’s train to Manchester. Ideal for a retreat weekend to get away from the busyness of life. Ten minutes walk from Whaley Bridge village with restaurants, pubs, cafes, supermarket and the start of the canal. Small, private bedroom with access to shared bathroom next door & ground floor WC. Garden when the weather permits. I work largely from home so am generally around. We've lived in this beautiful part of the world for 20 years and I’m happy to help you with whatever you may need. As an accredited Wellbeing Coach specialising in recovery from M.E./chronic fatigue syndrome, I’m happy for you to use the space for a relaxing retreat weekend. By arrangement you could use FIR sauna, various light therapies & even 1:1 coaching where appropriate. Please ask if this is what you need. Whaley Bridge is known as the "Gateway to the Goyt Valley" and is popular among walkers and mountain bikers as well as other holiday makers. Buxton is a 10 minute drive away and has many facilities including Buxton Opera House, a small cinema, a variety of shops and tourist services, restaurants, Pavillion Gardens, day spa and new hotel and spa due to open any day. Trains into Manchester (1 hour) and Buxton (20 mins) is a 10 minutes walk from here. There are regular buses to/from Manchester airport and various villages around the High Peak within a few minutes’ walk. You’re welcome to park a car on the driveway or in front of the house. Please note that this is a lively, happy family home and there will be comings and goings although there is rarely much noise. You will likely be greeted by a small friendly dog and her ball but she never goes upstairs. Please let me know if you’d like a table in your room for work/study.
