There is a drive to the front of the property, giving you free parking for two normal size cars. We love dogs and have one ourselves. However, we appreciate not everyone does. As such, you are very welcome to bring a dog (please inform us if you are doing so). For the comfort of other guests, please do not allow your four legged friend on the sofa or upstairs. If this will be difficult, with regret - this isn’t the right property for you. Dog towels are provided to help with muddy paws and there is an excellent dog walk right on the door step. Bakewell and the wider Peak District is very dog friendly, with most shops, pubs and cafes allowing dogs. As such we’d really appreciate it if your dog is not left in the house unattended, especially if they may bark if left alone. Please do not leave your dog in the garden unattended, we cannot guarantee that the garden is secure. You can see more about this property and the local area on (Hidden by Airbnb) . (Website hidden by Airbnb) All the house is available to guess apart from one small room used as an office. Melissa and Paul (owners) stay just around the corner when we have guests, but you can check yourself in via a secure key box to give you flexibility for arriving and departing. We like to leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday, but we are close at hand if you need us. Granby is situated in a quiet residential street, just a short flat walk into town. Bakewell has many shops including Fatface, Seasalt and Edge of the World. There are many cafes, pubs and restaurants - our favourite is also the nearest - The Manners, which has great food and often live music at the weekend. There is potential for low level noise in the property, approximately 30 dB which you can hear if the property is quiet. The property is semi detached and the elderly lady next door is hard of hearing, as such you can hear her tv/radio through the wall. This has never caused us a problem and never woke us in the 18 months we lived in the property, however if you are a very light sleeper it may bother you and we would recommend sleeping in the bedroom over looking the garden which is very peaceful. We provide brand new soft foam ear plugs for all our guests - perfect if you have a travelling companion who snores.
