The Lodge has extensive views over the Sussex Downs and beyond. Our village is quiet, surrounded by fields and fresh countryside air. The air is clear and the night skies amazing. Our guests can relax, and will enjoy a deserved holiday after the lock down so what better opportunity to enjoy 'us' time again with friends or family, in the security of your own space. Set in extensive grounds in the countryside, off the road with excellent parking, gardens, and privacy. We can arrange contactless check-in, and we can organise good supermarket deliveries ready for you when you arrive in the fridge, or if you prefer we can organise ready made meals delivered by excellent local caterers. Entire Cottage, patio, garden and grounds. Parking We are on site the Lodge is in the grounds of our Country House, we are available if you need us. In the midst of glorious 1066 Sussex Countryside the property in in a quiet hamlet within a conservation area right on the on edge of the Pevensey Levels an area designated as SSSI Nature reserve. We are surrounded by open fields, excellent walks and cycle trails as well as close to the quiet coastal resorts & historic towns, castles, famous houses and gardens, should you wish to venture further afield. Close to famous '1066 Country Walk', and the newly rediscovered. one of Britain’s great pilgrimage routes: The Old Way, a 250 mile journey from Southampton to Canterbury, passes right by our door!! If thats all a bit too much there loads of great local footpaths across fields, through woods towards Herstmonceux Castle and pretty local villages, nearby coastal resorts, all through stunning surrounding countryside. Closest train stations are at Polegate and Battle, taxi's available to bring you to Wartling. A car is recommended if you wish to check out the area.
