Enjoy the peace and quiet of this lovely double room, hosted by a chilled out young couple of professional creatives. The neighbourhood is so calm and pretty, with two amazing parks near by, the historic Red Lion pub and music venue, the famously trendy Moseley just a stroll away and easy access to supermarkets, restaurants and Birmingham city centre. You are welcome to use the dining room, kitchen and washing machine but please let us know in advance. A soothing space to chill out on a really comfortable double bed. Wardrobe, mirror, power sockets, and this room is located on the detached side of our house, facing the garden. So with no disturbance from neighbours or the road (not that you would any way) you can definitely count on a silent night (or day, if your hours are that way inclined). Your private double bedroom, the downstairs lounge and dining room, the kitchen, the bathroom, the toilet room and the back garden. We are both generally very flexible with our availability, as we are self-employed freelancers and hosting as a double-act! At least one of us will be around to help you with advice or anything else you may need. We absolutely love it here. This suburban neighbourhood is super safe, leafy, well served by public transport, and the stunning Highbury Park and Kings Heath Park are right on our doorstep. There are some gorgeous green routes we like to use for long walks or runs. DINNER AND DRINKS: - The historic Red Lion pub (and music venue) is our favourite, just a 15 minute walk through the park. - There's a Wetherspoons a 20 minute walk away in King's Heath surrounded by a multitude of other great places. - Round the corner from us is the highly rated Dads Lane Fish Bar and Restaurant. - And of course, Birmingham is the Balti capital of the world, and you will find no shortage of excellent Asian and Indian restaurants. LOCAL HISTORY: - J. R. R. Tolkein famously spent much of his life in this part of the country. A short bus journey away is his beloved Moseley Bog, a scenic woodland that inspired his writing. Make sure to pay Sarehole Mill a visit for more insight into his life. - Very close by is the utterly picturesque Bournville, home to Cadbury World. This is a great little neighbourhood to stroll around and relax in one of its many adorable cafes. You can reach the centre of Birmingham in fifteen minutes by car, or by bus in half an hour, or you can cycle there in 30 mins via the gorgeous Rhea Valley cycle path. SHOPS: Co-op 5 min walk Lidl 15 min walk ASDA 20 min walk No shoes upstairs please. We really like the carpet! :)
