62 Manchester Road is a terraced cottage built over three floors in 1850. The cottage overlooks the River Don, and has a unique balcony to make the most of the woodland views. In 5 minutes you can be on the Trans Pennine Trail - excellent for cycling and walking trips. Pleased note traffic on road at peak times can be noisy. 1 well behaved dog welcome by prior arrangement. Please Note the dog must be kept out of the bedroom and must not be left unattended. The whole house is available for guests' use I will greet guests whenever possible, otherwise key arrangements will be agreed with guests in advance. A bakery with basic supplies and a pizza takeaway are close by. The award winning Huntsman pub is very popular, serving food on Sundays and Tuesday evening. The area has many excellent walks, either on the flat or on moorland. Local buses pass the door, for transport to Holmfirth, Penistone and Barnsley. There are regular trains to Sheffield and Huddersfield (for Leeds) from Penistone station. If you prefer you can use public transport for all your travel, including the journey to and from the cottage. Free street parking locally and space at rear for one motorcycle with secure anchor point.
