With a love for all things Modernist and a passion for wood, The Space has been created exclusively for those looking for a different place to stay in North Norfolk. With high angled ceilings and modern sliding doors to the deck, this is a great space to retreat to, whatever the season. In autumn and winter, the log burner and under floor heating create a scandi ‘hygge’ feel. While in spring and summer, the views out to the meadow and orchard connect with nature and give you space to breathe. The handmade ply kitchen has everything you need with gas oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. We will ensure you have some dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and cloths to get you started. We supply logs (for your arrival) for the wood-only burner. There are two ground floor en-suite bedrooms, plus a small mezzanine (in the second bedroom with a small double Futon sofa) – this can either be another space to relax or for an extra person to sleep (please note it is accessed via a steep wooden ladder staircase at your own discretion). There will be an additional cost of £30 per night for a person to sleep here. The en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers, underfloor heating and warming towel rails. We do supply eco-friendly hand wash and room fresheners. You have exclusive use of the enclosed courtyard with BBQ. We like to make you feel at home, so there will be some ready to heat croissants in the freezer, milk, tea, coffee and wine when you arrive. You are welcome to arrange a supermarket delivery but please ensure it won’t arrive until you do, as we can’t always guarantee we will be here to receive it for you. We do allow one dog per stay for an additional £30, which we can add to your bill once you've booked. Please let us know about your dog before you arrive and note our rules around climbing on beds and furniture etc. We do have two dogs so please only bring your four legged friend if they are sociable. The Space is attached to our main home but has it's own courtyard and entrance so you are completely private and not overlooked. You are welcome to step up into our meadow as long as you're happy to have a friendly welcome from our two Pointer dogs. Apart from the mezzanine, everything is on the ground floor, however, please note, The Space is accessed via a gravel pathway. We are on site and available to welcome guests and ensure you have a great stay with us. We will give you the key lock code incase, on the odd occasion, we are not available when you arrive or you would prefer not to come into contact with us during your stay. You may see us from time to time in the garden, orchard or around the vegetable patch, feel free to say hello or ask us a question or just tell us about your day. We're happy to chat or keep our distance and won't intrude on your time with us. North Norfolk’s landscape is all about space, with big skies, salt marshes, creeks and vast sandy beaches. Whether you enjoy bird watching, sailing, walking or just relaxing on the beach there is something for everyone to enjoy in the big outside. We are located a few miles from the Georgian town of Holt, with other lovely towns/villages nearby (Blakeney, Cley, Wells, Sheringham, Burnham Market to name a few). There are National Trust properties very close as well as the large Norfolk Estates of Holkham and Houghton. We even have the smaller estates of Stody and Heydon close by – which are a bit of a hidden gem. There are lots of beautiful wedding locations close by and we are always happy to welcome guests who are here to celebrate someone's big day. We'll leave you some notes in The Space about other places to visit and are happy to chat to you when you arrive and start planning your time with us. You do need a car to get around. You can do a long walk to our local pub at Hunworth and if you have bikes, we can give you some routes from the house to discover. There is also a bus into Norwich city once a day from close by the house. There are local taxis we can let you know about but they usually have to be booked in advance. If you're worried about the Coronavirus, you have your own entrance so you don't have to interact with us - just let us know what you would prefer to do. We have a very high rating for cleanliness. Norfolk has wide, open spaces with deserted beaches (even in the holidays) and we can tell you where to go to avoid any crowds. This is a great place to escape, relax and feel safe.
