Vine Cottage

Shipston on Stour is a small traditional country town maintaining a 'foodie' reputation including a butchers, grocery/fishmonger, bakery & specialist delicatessen. There are a variety of restaurants & pubs all within easy walking distance of the cottage. Shipston on Stour lies in the northern Cotsworld region with many picturesque towns, villages & landscapes to visit nearby. In addition, the town is well located for historic Stratford upon Avon. This former laundry house has been converted into a charming one bedroom cottage, overlooking a private established walled garden (many unusual plantings). With private entrance, it has an open plan ground floor with kitchen, bar seating & living area. The first floor bedroom and bathroom overlooks the family garden. * Cot bed and bottom sheet, available on request. * The cottage will be fully cleaned, aired and sanitation products used. Additional products for sanitation left for your comfort. There is an outdoor courtyard terrace with seating, where guests can enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Guest will have their own entrance gate (off Old Road) leading to the cottage therefore, providing further privacy. We live in the adjoining house and can help with any questions you may have. Our gardens are reserved to the family. However, you have your own french doors to the cottage courtyard which has a garden bench for your use during the summer. I will be watering the planters most evenings in the summer months. The tap is near your entrance. So please do tap my shoulder if you have any questions. My car is parked within the garage so you will see me from time to time. We do our uppermost to leave you be… We live in a residendial area within an easy walk to the town's centre. Street parking outside our garden wall is free. Ideally you will be travelling by car, in order to make the most of the area and it's local attractions. We have a lovely pointer dog, who is slightly timid, so when you meet, let her say hello first. It is very important that the gate is securely on its latch when you enter and leave. We do ask that if you wish to smoke, you do so outside the garden walls and remove you butt ends to a bin please. * Basic breakfast ingredients supplied (for 2 nights) to include: whole milk, OJ, coffee and tea, cereals, bagels or bread, butter and marmalade.
