Niobe Falls House

Comfortable, peaceful, country feel in a modern layout. Three large bedrooms upstairs, 2 king and 1 queen, and a finished attic. Downstairs is open plan, with a spacious, well-equipped kitchen, a big living/dining room and den. 3 full baths and a large mud room. Access to hiking and skiing. Hunter Mt is 21 minutes away. 35 minutes to Windham ski resort. Great sunrises and sunsets. Kids & dogs welcome: the yard is fenced. There are kid-gates, a crib, toys, a keyboard and drums. WiFi, jacuzzi, washer/dryer, and plenty of closet space. There is a Weber charcoal grill and a dining/relaxing area on a spacious outdoor patio. There's a smaller patio across the street overlooking Niobe Falls on the Kaaterskill Creek. The entire house and all outdoor areas are included with your reservation. We’re available 24 hours by phone or email. Our co-host lives nearby. There’s a wonderful coffee shop/general store across the Creek, and the area's best farm stand about 5 minutes away. Hiking, skiing, swimming, and kayaking, are all a few minutes away. You’re going to need a car here. But friends can join you by train (Hudson, 20 minutes away) or bus (a mile down the road). We are located a short 20 minute drive from the beautiful Hunter Mountain Ski Resort, where you can ski, snowboard, or snow tube until your heart’s content. The smaller but just as lovely Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort is within an hour’s drive. Also located within 20 minutes of iconic and cultural Woodstock, NY. Our falls is one of several on the Kaaterskill that were popular with the Hudson School painters, and there is still a lively arts scene in the area.
