Pintea Cottage - Bucovina, Manastirea Humorului, northern Moldavia: The cottage is located in the proximity of Romania's greatest art treasures: the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Placed between hills, in a unique landscape, it offers a wonderful view, especially the sunrise and the sunset in the middle of nature. Built in the rural architectural style, it is a "house-museum" that preserves the traditional values of the family. Pintea Cottage offers comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting. We greet our guests with traditional pies and drinks from Bucovina region. Indoor games: chess, backgammon, cards, rummikub etc. On request (extra fee): - Pintea Cottage - Food&Drink Tasting - tasting evenings with traditional beverages: „afinata” (blueberry liqueur), „visinata” (cherry brandy), spirits, wines and appropriate foods. - Visits to the sheepfold - tasting traditional products and visits to traditional households. - Breakfast, lunch and dinner, soft drinks and traditional beverages, on the menu of Pintea's House (including vegetarian and vegan dishes). COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION is suited for large groups (8 people, plus 2 occasionally). Layout: 3 double bedrooms (1 ground floor and 2 attic - 3 matrimonial beds) and 1 attic bedroom (the shared attic space - 2 single beds). Occasionally: extra 2 places to sleep (living room - 1 sofa bed). Ground floor: 1 master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower cabin, 1 large living and dining room, 1 toilet room. Attic: 2 double bedrooms and 1 bedroom (the shared attic space), 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower. Other spaces: fully equipped open-plan kitchen, porch, terrace of 80 sq.m, 4 parking places in the yard. Facilities: Heating wood / electric boiler, TV cable, WIFI, 2 indoor fireplaces (ground floor bedroom and living room), washing machine. ACCESS: Pintea Cottage guests have access to the building of 260 sq.m, the garden and orchard of 3500 sq.m, with hammocks and open spaces for children. Activities in the area: horseback riding or horse-drawn sleigh (summer / winter). you can practice equestrian tourism, fishing, hunting, winter sports and hiking on light mountain trails, depending on the season. Remarkable attractions: the eight Painted Monasteries of Bucovina: Arbore, Humor, Moldovita, Patrauti, Probota, Suceava, Voronet, Sucevita - monuments inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List - and also others valuable historical monuments as Putna, Dragomirna... Other tourist attractions: the Folk Traditions Museum and the Adventure Park Escalada (Arinis) in Gura Humorului, the stream train „Mocanita Hutulca” (Moldovita-Argel), the Suceava Fortress and Bucovina Village Museum in Suceava, the Salt Mine of Cacica (objectives: the Roman Catholic Chapel of St. Barbara, the Orthodox chapel, the Salt Lake, the Dance hall, the Dwarf Cave), the Black Ceramics of Marginea ( one of the most famous pottery centers in Romania), Campulung Moldovenesc, Vatra Dornei, Calimani National Park, the mineral water springs from Poiana Negri, Poiana Stampei and Saru Dornei...
