The Wildwood Farmhouse (Your own Walden)

This is a wonderful private country home located a few minutes from everything that the upstate has to offer! Mountains, lakes, rivers, breweries, and Death Valley are all a stones throw away and provide endless opportunities. A glass of wine and conversation overlooking our small pond is the stuff of memories. Carve out a little bit of time and dedicate it to connecting with loved ones, life is too short! It is an analogue environment, unplug and recharge your soul, so - no tv, web or pets. Our home is an old farm house built in the early 1900’s. The long gravel drive pulls you into a private little world and gives you space to disconnect from the world and connect with the people around you. You will love how the main living space is open and comfortable with a small coffee bar and full kitchen, as well as two screened in porches for cool evenings. Join the generations of folks who crafted memories in this sweet space. ***Reach out to us regarding the ability to rent the grounds for small, simple weddings. We can work through options, rates, etc.*** The entire first floor of the home is included. The upstairs attic area is not accessible for guests. This is a guest house on our (ever developing) mini-farm, so we are somewhat available during most visits. Historic Walhalla is a few minutes drive, it is a step back in time. Clemson, Highlands, Cashiers and Clayton all offer additional treasures and afford you the luxury of some sight seeing along the way! You will need a car or motorcycle to get around, but don't drive too fast...there is a lot to take in and enjoy. Since this is on our ever developing mini farm, you may see/hear us working, cutting or planting trees, gardening, playing, etc.
