Village house near Henley for Regatta & Chilterns

A mile and a half outside Henley on Thames, a four bedroom Victorian cottage (with extensions and an attached wooden barn, providing an additional sitting room and den with pool table). Easy access to Henley and the Chiltern Hills AONB. Large kitchen/dining with Aga, sitting room with fireplace, utility room with toilet, three double bedrooms (one en suite), one twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Secluded fenced/hedged garden with outside dining and seating areas and large ornamental pond. We have four double bedrooms, one a twin, a large modern kitchen/dining area (seating 8), and two sitting rooms, both with Sky TV. There is a large entrance hall with piano. In the barn we have a rowing machine, and the pool table can be turned into a table tennis table, but if you want exercise this "area of outstanding natural beauty" is renowned for walking and biking. The garden will be beautiful in summer and it is a lovely place for outdoor eating with garden furniture and different seating areas. The entire house is accessible except for a storage area in the mezzanine above the barn. We will be away but our cleaner, Lynda will welcome you and come in to clean the house and the lawn will be mowed, both weekly. Our neighbours are very friendly and will be happy to chat, and offer help or advice. Lower Assedon is small village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Perfect for Henley Regatta or the Festival, we have an award winning pub restaurant, the Golden Ball, but the South Chilterns is also well supplied with great traditional village pubs. We are about 40 minutes from Oxford and a direct train to London from Henley takes 55 minutes. There is a bus stop nearby with buses going to Henley (1.5 miles) and Oxford.
