The old stone house is situated on a B road, with light work buildings to one side and rural setting to the other. There are lovely walks along the river side and also canal. For train spotters 2 railway lines for viewing. There are parks and fishing. 15 mins drive to the amazing Meadowhall shopping centre. Central to Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield. Close to picturesque ancient villages, monuments, Inns and restaurants. The apartment is small but quirky and great for short stays. This ground floor stone fronted cottage is part of a larger stone manor house. It has 1 bedroom with new memory foam double bed. The shower is situated in the main bedroom and is raised off the ground with 3 steps. I can also provide a travel cot if required also a single sturdy camp bed if needed. This apartment is better suited to family members as the bathroom facilities are in the bedroom. The apartment is on a B road but the bedroom is towards the rear of the home. There is off street parking directly across the road that can be seen from the apartment. The apartment is an unusual place as it is an old Victorian converted shop and has some quirky features to it and layout. Please let us know if there is anything you require. My son in law just lives a mile away. Buses over the canal bridge and a train station 1 mile away can take you to many local towns and cities. Although it sleeps 2 persons it is better suited for family or with good friends as the bathroom facilities are in the bedroom. Also note this is not a holiday location. There are many great places to see around the area which I have highlighted in the information book.
