Greetings from the beautiful Lake Maggiore! This open-floorplan apartment has been tastefully decorated and equipped with all the essentials to provide for a wonderful "home away from home". The big glass sliding doors and windows allow in lots of natural light and keep the unit fresh and airy while providing breathtaking views from all the rooms. The terrace offers plenty of outdoor space for dining "al fresco", reading, or simply relaxing while enjoying wonderful panoramic views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. It wraps around the side of the apartment to provide around two additional hours of afternoon sun. A small garden below the terrace is a nice extra space for pets. The private bedroom features a large, comfortable double bed and a sofa bed in the living room can accommodate additional two persons. The unit features Wi-Fi internet access and satellite TV to provide various entertainment options for the whole family. The apartment is located in a secure building with elevator and comes with a private one-car garage. It's just minutes from all the major area attractions but being close to nature and away from major roads it's a perfect place to enjoy peace and tranquility after a busy day exploring this beautiful region. For our guests' peace of mind, the apartment is professionally cleaned and sanitized (with liquid ozone) after every rental to minimize the possibility of infections and provide for safe, relaxed stays. The following are just some of the many attractions and activities the area has to offer: -The region's world famous music festival runs from June to September. Enjoy numerous free concerts and performances, many in romantic, outdoor settings. -Wonderful street markets in Stresa, Arona, Intra, Cannobio…. a great place to taste some of the regional specialities and buy locally made arts and crafts, antiques, souvenirs, etc. -Visit the famous Borromeo islands (Isola Bella, Madre and Pescatori) for their beautiful palaces, exquisite gardens and charming villages. -Take the Lago Maggiore Express tour which combines a boat cruise to Locarno (Switzerland) and a scenic train ride through the Alps before completing the loop back to Stresa. -Visit the many great points of interest around Lake Maggiore, including the statue of Carlo Borromeo in Arona, the Rocca Borromea castle in Angera, the Santa Caterina monastery near Leggiuno, and the lush gardens of Villa Taranto in Pallanza. -Enjoy the views from Mount Sasso del Ferro above Laveno. The two-person bucket lift is an unforgettable experience on its own. -For more breathtaking views of the region get to the top of Mount Mottarone (either by cable car from Stresa or by car). Enjoy the superb panoramic view (7 lakes and Monte Rosa), have a delicious lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants, and enjoy family fun at Alpyland. -Take advantage of the numerous water activities, including boating, sailing, wind surfing, kayaking and swimming (we will show you the best and cleanest beaches). -Visit the beautiful Lake Orta. The charming San Giulio is a jewel of a town and the Sacro Monte above it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. -Milan is only a one-hour train ride from Stresa. Visit the Duomo, La Scala and the designer shops within the world famous fashion triangle. -Great hiking throughout the region.
