Bespoke Shepherd Hut on a Rural Essex Farm
A bespoke shepherd hut nestled in a quiet field corner on a working arable farm in the heart of East Anglia. The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life, it is ideally located to enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun set over the surrounding fields. The hut offers a luxurious feel, whilst being off-grid, utilising solar power. Within walking distance of a quaint English village, and footpaths on which to explore the countryside. Or just relax in front of the log burner. The handmade shepherd hut offers self-contained accommodation for 2, with raised double bed, kitchenette with gas hob and seating area, log burning stove, and en suite with a toilet and shower. Bright airy décor, and lots of hidden storage give the hut a spacious feel. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy alfresco dining, and a gas barbecue is provided. You will have the whole hut to yourselves with a large outside area. We live nearby on the farm, and are available throughout the day. If not on site we are contactable by mobile. The hut is just a 10-15 minute walk from the historic village of Castle Hedingham, often featured in 'most picturesque villages' lists! Here you will find tea room, community shop, post office, pubs, a restaurant, and of course the impressive keep and grounds of Hedingham Castle. Please note parking is not located at the hut but a 300m walk away. Access to the hut from the parking area is via a grass path which depending on weather can be a little muddy. Please bring suitable footwear. Also, the farm driveway can be bumpy at times with potholes, due to bad weather. It is easily passable in a car but worth taking it slowly. We are a small working arable farm. From time to time large machinery will be moving around. The hut is on the edge of a cropped field so at certain times tractors, combines and other agricultural vehicles may be working close by.
