Tumu Ora Bungalows has a Bungalow and a Studio, both with private kitchen and bathroom, perfect for older kids, grandparents, friends. The Bungalow rate is $170/night. {The Studio is only available together with the Bungalow at $270/night for both up to 6 guests}. Tumu Ora, means Tree of Life. It is named for the ancient banyan tree at the center of these historic grounds of the Huahine royal family, revered by the Huahine community. Swimming, snorkeling, paddling, diving and fishing are all right there to enjoy in the lagoon. (Surfing is discouraged) Or, you can lounge around on the beach, dock, garden or hammock and do nothing! It is conveniently located adjacent to Fare Town where markets, shopping, dining, banks, Post Office and the harbor are a relaxing stroll away. Guests have private use of their bungalow(s), the gardens, beach and dock. There is ample parking for guests and visitors. Tumu Ora is designed to feel like you are in your very own private Tahitian dream. You will be greeted by Robert Kimitete, who knows the property well, and will warmly assist with any questions, needs or challenges. Hopefully you will be delighted by the attention to detail and quality at Tumu Ora. Pretty sure you won't want to leave! The Tumu Ora property is the location for Mahana Dive providing dive and boating tours right off the dock with wonderful Annie and Kimitete. Next door is a classic, tiny, old world French distillery specializing in exotic, local fruits and nuts. Lovely to drink and special gifts! The dispensary (hospital) is a nearby neighbor, handy in the event of an urgent medical need. In Fare Town, bikes, boards, kayaks and boats can be rented from Jean Luc at Huahine Lagoon, found on (Hidden by Airbnb) . Guests can request an airport pickup and drop off. When staying at Tumu Ora, Fare Town is easily visited on foot, a car is not required for shopping and dining. The bungalows are entirely screened and nearly pest free. There is nothing scary or toxic on the property. It is quiet, calm and safe at Tumu Ora. One warning- the Tumu Ora Canine Choir is the lovely neighbors' team of varied-size dogs that may start up a multi-layered howling concert at night that has never lasted more than 30 seconds before returning to quiet, and otherwise are not annoying barking dogs! You'll be laughing with disbelief at what a delightful canine choir they are!
