Characterful Edwardian Terraced House
This charming Edwardian Terraced house is situated in a convenient location, walking distance from local amenities and the beautiful scenery of Pitsford Water. The accomodation consists of two double bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower, cosy open plan living / dining room, galley kitchen, downstairs toilet and beautiful, large shared garden. The historic village of Brixworth is home to the well know Saxon church built in 680 AD, which is the earliest basilica church north of the Alps. The house is a typical small Edwardian terraced house built around 1910 for artisan workers. The interior has been opened up by previous owners to make the space more convenient and lighter. Some original features have been retained. It is a great place to stay as it is within walking distance of the shops, the ancient saxon church, and Pitsford Water. There are convenient bus routes to Leicester, Market Harborough, Northampton and Milton Keynes, with the bus stops at the end of Broad Street. Guests can use the whole house. They are also welcome to use the courtyard and garden which is a shared space with the owners who live next door. Because we live next door to the property we are very happy to chat with guests, as we do with our neighbours. If guests have any queries they can knock on our door. We are usually around. Brixworth is an expanding village but still retains the village atmosphere. The neighbours are all friendly . Although the houses in Broad Street seem like town houses it is an essentially rural area in beautiful countryside. Broad Street in Brixworth is directly off the A508 which runs from Northampton to just north of Market Harborough where it joins with the A6 to Leicester. The X7 bus runs every hour north to Leicester and south to Northampton and Milton Keynes. It stops at the end of Broad Street so is very convenient. There are many cycle tracks. The main one is round beautiful Pitsford Water which is close by. Another attractive one runs along the disused railway line from Northampton to Market Harborough and is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders. There are shops, a library, a dentist and two coffee shops all within walking distance.
