Our 'Baby Bell' tent contains a super comfy double bed, and two fold out 'cube' beds/mattresses - suitable for young children (though adults have slept on them too!). Nestled under the trees, in its own area next to a small duck pond. The 'Baby Bell' also has an outdoor seating area, and an area for a firepit. This comfortable, intimate space provides the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern city life: an oasis of calm and all-too-rare opportunity to reconnect with nature in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Features a double bed and two small single futon beds, making it ideal for couples with two small children. Guests have access to the lakes, flush toilets, shower, and washing up area (with hot and cold water). The onsite food concession offers hot and cold snacks and meals throughout the day. And an evening meal delivery service is available 6 days a week. Although, for security reasons, the gates are locked at dusk, guests are provided with the gate lock combination, enabling you to explore the local area at your leisure. **IMPORTANT: please be aware that Rum Bridge is entirely ‘off-grid’, meaning the quality of lighting – both in the pods and tents, and site-wide - will vary with the prevailing conditions.** The onsite shop is staffed seven days a week, from 8am - 6pm. "Carol's Kitchen" is open for breakfast, lunch and evening meals, and offers hot and cold snacks throughout the day. In the interests of security, the main gates are locked during the night, but guests will receive the entrance code, enabling you to come and go as you please. The hosts live onsite, and are available around the clock in case of emergency. Nestling on the banks of the River Stour, in the heart of the tranquil Suffolk countryside, Rum Bridge Fisheries is situated within easy driving distance of Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, and the Suffolk coast. The market town of Clare is home to a wealth of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries, as well as a 13th century Augustinian Priory, Clare Country Park, the stone keep ruins of Clare Castle, a medieval church and museum. Rum Bridge is located around 12 miles from the nearest train station - a 50-minute drive from Stansted Airport. There is a limited local bus service. To make Rum Bridge as affordable as possible, we allow guests to book our accommodation only, and to supply their own bedding, towels, etc. We also offer an optional bedding package – including sheets, pillows, a duvet and cover – on request, at a cost of £6 / single, £12 / double for the duration of your stay. You may also wish to take advantage of the following options and extras, all of which are designed to make your break as relaxing and enjoyable as possible… **Fire pit package** Guests who prefer to dine al fresco have the option either to bring their own camping stove, or to rent a fire pit with grill, which is supplied with a bucket of logs and kindling, a bag of charcoal and tongs, skewers, etc. and even a bag of marshmallows, for a one off hire charge of just £24.95, Additional logs and charcoal are also available to purchase on-site. Guests that would like to bring their own fire pit or BBQ are required to purchase a fire permit (£10). **Cook Tent** We also offer purpose-designed cook tents, which can be pitched next to your accommodation, and feature twin-burner gas stoves with grill, kettle, and cookware. Cost is £19.95 per night (minimum 2 nights). **Angling permits** Fishing is available at a discounted rate of just £10 per day - allowing you to target the popular Moat Lake for carp, tench, crucians, bream and perch. **Gazebo hire** Planning a family get-together? Communal gazebos are also available to hire, from just £50 per stay. ** Leave no trace ** To keep costs low, and to avoid a build up of waste, we ask if at all possible for guests to take all their rubbish home. If you would rather we dispose of it for you, we ask for a contribution of £2.85 towards disposal and recycling costs. For this you will receive a black bin bag, and a recycling bag. Please note too that Rum Bridge is offgrid: the Bell Tent will come equipped with a powerpack sufficient to charge phones and ipads, etc, and with rechargable lights/solar powered lights.
