Charming cottage in Shalford, in the Surrey Hills

One bed self-contained cottage in the garden of a family home, ideally suited to a couple. Short walk to Shalford station. (One stop to Guildford with direct service to London Waterloo in 35mins). The Old Coach House is set in the gardens of a lovely family home in the heart of the Surrey Hills. It is in close proximity to the main house (about 15m), near enough to nip out and speak to the owners if required, but still enjoys total privacy. The cottage itself is ideal for a couple but does have a sofa bed downstairs if required for additional guests. Extra guests are charged at £10 per night. Please mention this in your enquiry. Children are more than welcome. The sitting room enjoys a wood burning stove for chilly winter evenings and the conservatory with dining area is gorgeous on warm, sunny days. There is underfloor heating in the conservatory which can be switched on if you choose to use this room in the winter. Double doors in the conservatory lead out to a private patio garden. This little sun trap is south-facing and is a great space to enjoy eating and relaxing outdoors. The area has garden furniture. There is a Smart TV in the living room with Netflix and Prime. Guests may use the table tennis table in the garage opposite if they wish. The cottage also has good WiFi. The accommodation has its own well equipped kitchen with oven and fridge-freezer. There is also a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. The bedroom is upstairs with king size bed and crisp white linen (restricted ceiling height in places as it is in the roof) and an en-suite shower room, with walk-in shower. Pets are welcome, we just ask that you respect the cottage as if it were your own home and we ask that you clear up after your pet in the garden. We have two Golden Retrievers and three children who are happy to share their garden with other children and dogs. **(More than 2 guests are charged at an additional £10 per person per night and this will be added to your quote when I respond to your initial enquiry). The Old Coach House is enjoyed exclusively by our guests. They may park on our driveway just outside it and we are happy for guests to enjoy our garden if they wish. The owners are at home most of the time to answer any questions you may have or offer advice about the local area. Shalford is a quintessentially English village complete with cricket pitch, village store, coffee shop, post office, train station, post office and a handful of good pubs and restaurants. Shalford is only 2 miles from Guildford with its mainline train service to London (35minutes). There is a station in Shalford with hourly train services to Guildford. There is also a bus stop on the main road in front of the house with a regular service into Guildford.
