Allmans Heath Cottage Byre

The Byre is a delightful semi detached, single storey cottage; bespoke oak furniture and a woodburning stove. The cottage boasts amazing views over Swinshaw reservoir surrounded by the beautiful Peak District Hand crafted cottage by Jack Badger Ltd, which is my son's company. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with footpaths in all directions to enjoy the Pennine Way and the Longdendale Trail. Horses, Rheas, Alpacas, sheep and lots of local wildlife surround the cottage. A perfect "get away" retreat with a warm welcome on arrival. Self-contained cottage with its own private seating area. Car parking is in the yard with access to the Byre through my own garden. Please close the gate to keep the chickens out! There is a welcome manual in the cottage giving lots of information eg places to visit, places to eat. I am happy to help with any questions On the doorstep of beautiful countryside but only 30 minutes by train into Manchester. Good location to visit Chatsworth, Haddon, Bakewell, Buxton, Holmfirth, Castleton, Sheffield. Glossop town centre 5 minutes away by car. Glossop has two parks, a Victorian swimming baths and a local market on Friday's and Saturday's. Glossop train station is 5 minutes by car. Taxi rank just outside the station. Buses from the town centre to Buxton (which is a famous Victorian town renowned for its local spring water) The cottage is next to a road, but having lived in the cottage myself, I do not think the traffic is an issue, and guests who have stayed have said that they don't notice, and some have said they live on far busier roads
