You will also have access to the nearby caravan site, where you and your family can access the park and entertainment centre. The immediate surrounding environment is great for walks by the river or through the fields. The Weardale way walk can be joined from directly opposite the cottage. There are local pubs in Stanhope and in the surrounding villages. Stanhope has village shops , cafes and restaurant. There are small play parks in each village locally. There are country parks and reservoirs such as Derwant reservoir, Tunstall Reservoir and Hamsterly Forest nearby for those that like exploring natural environments.
