Propan House, Villa in Mount Pelion
A beautiful stone-built villa situated in the picturesque village of Kalamaki in East Pelion, overlooking the mountain side and the Aegean Sea. In its 4 bedrooms can easily accommodate 8-10 persons and is ideal for winter or summer vacations. Built in the early 1930’s in the traditional architectural style of Mount Pelion, the villa was completely renovated in the 1990's and is used as a vacation house by its owners Panos and Ira. The house is located in a beautiful 1000 sq.m. garden full of flowers, olive trees and fruit trees and offers plenty of space for children to play and enjoy nature. The villa has 3 floors decorated in classic country style and is equipped with all necessary amenities (fully equipped kitchen, central heating, fireplace, washing machine, TV, CD player, internet etc). The ground floor includes a living room with fireplace, a dining room, the kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Outside there is a large veranda with a spectacular view to the mountainside and the Aegean Sea and a large table ideal for eating out and relaxing in the summer. Two bedrooms and a small sitting area are located on the first floor. The couch in the sitting area can be turned into two additional beds and accommodate 2 more persons. Two more bedrooms, a large sitting area with TV and a bathroom with shower are located on the second floor. We will not be available on site during your stay, but we will be available via phone or email to answer any question and we will send someone to the house if necessary. Kalamaki is a small and peaceful village in East Pelion that has maintained the characteristic colour and style of the area. There is a beach just 2 km away and the surrounding area is ideal for walks in the forest. In the village square our guests can find two tavernas and a café. Kalamaki is situated close to many famous Pelion destinations like Milies, Vyzitsa and Tsagkarada villages and is only a short drive away from beautiful beaches on the Aegean Sea and on Pagasitikos Bay. Because of its location, the villa is the perfect starting point for those who want to explore the amazing and diverse landscapes of Mount Pelion. It is necessary to have a car in order to reach the house easily and to fully enjoy Mount Pelion. Parking space is available within the property. There is a regular, but not very frequent, bus service, connecting Kalamaki village to Volos and other villages.
